i didn't think i'd ever leave matt for a few days, especially not this soon into our marriage, but i got an awesome opporunity to go to a 3-day conference in beautiful, artsy, salado, texas!
i'm so excited, but i'm going to miss him sooooo much :/
i had to leave benny last year for a conference...guess what? it ends up being harder for him because he's at home...you will have so much to do that it will go by fast
well, our favorite season is upon us ~ fall! yeah for beautiful colors and cooler weather! this year i am going to take matt to this amazing pumpkin patch in flower mound that i've heard a lot about. they have a whole farm, hay rides, the works. we are working to build our own family "traditions" around the holidays, so we may start as soon as now! it will be fun.
i don't know if anyone reads this anymore, so i don't post very often, but we are doing very well. we are enjoying being married and have a lot of fun together! this last week we had a season premier party for the office, which we LOVED because jim & pam are officially engaged! yeah! i almost cried...i know...it's not real. my school year has been going smoothly, for the most part, and i've got to say, second year = so much better than first! i hope it continues on this way. we are both working really hard and spending as much time with friends and family as possible. we are excited & communicative about out everything we possibly can be - from money to emotions to future career possibilities to future family (not any time soon)! :) it's so fun to come home to (or wait at home for them to come home to you) your best friend! i think the best part about being married is having your number one right there with you all the time. no matter what happens or what you may disagree about or whatever - you still fall asleep next to and wake up to the face of the one you love more than anything else. being married is AWESOME! we are really happy. matt takes such good care of me and spoils me more than anyone ever has, which i love, of course :) i hope i'm a good wife....i try. i can't stop baking things.
some of our close friends have just had a baby, and another one is on the way for a few more! we are so thrilled for everyone expecting right now :)
my dear friend molly (one of my bridesmaids) is getting married in january and i am blessed and honored to be a part of the celebration! i've never been in a wedding besides my own, so i'm really excited, i think it will be a lot of fun.
people have kept asking to see pictures of Leila, my new car, so i thought i'd post a few.
complete with leather, back up camera, mp3 player jack, and many other amazingly awesome details!
and last, i'll leave you with one of our photos from our honeymoon in maui. we wish every day we could be back there...
nice car! and cute picture-- but mostly, i enjoyed reading your sentiments on marriage. the good (or GREAT) news is: it doesn't get old! you never grow out of being in love with marriage- it's the best, isn't it?! needless to say, it only gets better, girl!
A million years ago you asked me for this photo. I remembered that when I came across it today and thought you might still want it. If you do you are welcome to rip it off the website and print it at any walgreens, cvs, walmart, whatever! :)
Ragan, im glad to hear your are doing well. Marraige is a blessing. not to say we dont fight now and then, but you always have someone beside you. they sent sam to houston for a week for "disaster relief" and i missed him soooo much! so did your little green car bite the dust?
first new car!/! lucky you! i've never had a new car... but thats okay. i love my mazda tribute..its a small SUV..looks like about the same size as yours. mine drives like a car but sits up high. i DID know kym was pregnanct, just b/c of facebook. how crazy!!! im not ready for that step yet. what age do you teach?
Hi Ragan! Isn't it crazy hard to get back to life after Hawaii? There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think or wish or dream about being on that peaceful island once again! How's school? It truly does get better each year. If school were based upon my first year of teaching I'd have quit long ago but every year gets better and better!
my first week of my second year of teaching. and let me say this: second year is nothing like the first. so, for all those first-year teachers out there, who are hating life right now, and will even more so come the next 8 or 9 months, remember...three great reasons to be a teacher:
june
july
august
my beautiful husband bought me a brand new car as a back-to-school "present". he's awesome.
