I finally got our computer working again - I think!! A week before Xmas it crashed. I sent it away to my brother-in-law and he said he had to completely wipe it clean to fix it. Ach!! Fortunatly he could rescue our stuff.

We've had about 10 inches of snow. I loved it. It's mostly gone now but it sure helped me to acclimate to winter.

We had a wonderful Xmas. I was even a bit overwhelmed, a big thanks to my family.

My mother-in-law broke her wrist Christmas eve, so her daughter and I were her hands for christmas dinner. It's so very hard to get her to sit down. We'll have New Years dinner over there too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
goodetwoshoesHappy New Year!!
lsanfordHi Tam -- you looked so cute the other day, all fashion-accessorized for the snow. Gorgeous!

Her mom and dad are moving across the country and taking her away from us. We're going to miss her soooo much. Please send lots of prayers for them. They're leaving in two weeks.

Summer vacation is officially over but I'm praying for a nice long indian summer. Not ready to say good-bye to the sunshine. Craig has put in a hedge along the fence line where the neighbor's trees were. (At the moment only a foot and a half high but eventually to be 4 feet) It's called Spring Bouquet. The sweet Gum trees are still on the list but the timing isn't to Craig's satisfaction yet, maybe springtime.

The girls started school without much complaining. It's nice to have an established routine again. Now that they're nearly adults I don't worry so much about what new habit/idea they'll pick up from school. I'm very proud of them. God has helped us so much in raising them. We just kept pointing them towards him, and praying for his hand in our lives.

Okay, now that I'm filled with thanksgiving I'm going to go enjoy my backyard. See ya!
wathingHi. This is Ronnette. I am trying to figure all of this out. Its good to have a routine with the family. Fall is my favorite season.
goodetwoshoesI crumble w/o a routine! We all thrive so much when we stick to ours!

We haven't had a very hot summer, it's actually felt like the beginning of fall, which I love any way! I can't wait for all the leaves to turn their brilliant fall colors and to smell the crispness of the air. It's so invigorating and cozy at the same time!

I love your girls! :) (and you too!) (your husband's pretty sweet as well!) :D

Aug 15, Silverwood 08-15-08 06:14am PST
We're going on vacation this week. My in-laws are all going to Silverwood (theme park, Idaho) and invited us to join them. Amazingly, the whole family gets to go. 2 RV's and a tent for 13 people, (4 under the age of 10). Chewy's going to go visit Donna while we're gone.

I'm loving this HEAT. It's making me really tired at night though. Craig had to get his own bowl of icecream, after church last night.

Sweet Ruby is back. Her sleep schedule is all changed but I think they have finally recovered from their vacation. Yesterday we sang the B-I-B-L-E song and she started singing all by her self. Okay, maybe just baby talk with a yell at the end, holding the bible over her head. It entertained her for over an hour.

The front yard is still torn up. Craig's trying to sever the roots at the property line to make way for his sprinkler line and the new trees, when we get them. I call him in for dinner and he only eats about half of it before he has to stop. He's working so hard he starts to get sick.

Did I say I love my dog?!! I LOVE MY DOG.
lsanfordYippee -- a vacation for Tammy and the family. You guys deserve it. I hope you have an awesome time. Slide down a water slide for me!

July 29 07-29-08 06:48am PST
Craig's tongue got totally away from him this morning. Chewy jumped up on his leg as he was leaving for work and he said, "Yes, I love you too." In shock I called him on it and now he completely denies it, but I know what I heard. There's hope yet...

We got to see Ruby yesterday. So sweet. Her bed (playpen) got lost on the airlines but she took her nap on our couch without a hitch. Never even tried to get off. We tied Chewy under the table and let Ruby decide how close she wanted to get to him. After a half an hour Chewy decided she was a little too noisy for his comfort and tried to stay away from her. They played peek-a-boo around me for a little while. She is very gentle with him.

Our neighbor finally agreed to cut down his two fir trees bordering our front yard. They cause damage to our house during the wind storms. We'll have lots of firewood. Craig wants to plant some Sweet Gum Trees in their place for the shade. They're skinny(like a column rather than a mushroom) and their leave fall off in the winter so we won't have such a moss problem. I'm looking forward to the leaves for my garden.

Carissa has gone to the ocean with her friends family this week. Every morning I keep waiting for her to wake up till about 11:00 when I finally remember she's not here. Did the same thing with Chels when she went to camp last week.

Still working on burying Chewy's invisible fence. I've got it all layed out and working though. It gives Chewy a warning tone when he starts getting close and listens intently for it. I'll tell him "No" when I see him getting close, and then he starts creeping till he finds his limit. I enjoy him so much.
lsanfordHmmm - I can't imagine Caden ever sleeping on the sofa without getting down. Must be your dog-training skills applied to children. Want to train Caden? Love ya!
rebecca_at_homeHay Tammy, It was great to visit with you last month. I will have the same problems when Jessica leaves for school. She is just going across town to Florida College, but she won't be home and I will miss her. She had a wonderful time when we were there. Sure wish we could have seen Chelsey. Jessica joined Face Book and found Chelsey. It would be great for them the get to know each other again. Talk to you soon.
