So, we're not moving to Kentucky after all. Nathanael recieved a job offer in Sacramento that we could not turn down. So he accepted. He starts his new job at Java City on January 5th.
To all of you in the Bowling Green (and surrounding, i.e. South Carolina) area that were looking forward to our arrival in the south:
I'm sorry. It just didn't work out for us to go, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Nathanael just wasn't having any luck finding a job. I really did want to go, and I really am disappointed, but it just wasn't time for us to go yet. I love you, and will visit as soon as humanly possible.
To all of you in the west, who are looking forward to us remaining here:
I'm happy to be staying in California! I have so much love in my heart for the people who are a part of my life here. I had not realized how much that I would miss everyone. The feeling of loss that so many people expressed at the prospect of us leaving the area was overwhelming. I had no idea how much people love and value us here, or how much we would be missed. The feeling of gratitude and love I have for everyone at the Folsom Point church and for Christians all over California is deep and profound. I will never forget how joyful and blessed you have made me feel in the last couple of months. Thank you. I am honored, and thankful, to continue to be a part of each of your lives.
We're disappointed that your move back here didn't work out but so happy that Nathanael found a job. I can relate to missing people. Sometimes the ache is so hard I can bearly breathe.

I hope you enjoyed reading the highlights of my married life. But I do this mainly for myself. I have to keep track of things like this somewhere, because I have such a bad memory. I don't want to forget the early, blissful years of our marriage when I'm old. So thanks for reading.
I'm Misty May, and I'm trying to think of a new way to sign off of Pleonast.
I can't believe Nathanael's 1st toilet installation in April '08 made the list, yet you neglected to mention quite a significant event that took place in Sept. '07... and I'm not talking about my birthday!
I've received many questions about why/when Nathanael and I are moving to Kentucky. So here are the answers.
We are hoping to be moved by Christmas. But a lot will depend upon how quickly Nathanael will be able to find a job there. He is leaving on Monday to drive one of our cars out there, to begin the job search. When he finds one, he will fly back here, we'll pack up our things, and we'll drive a truck and our other car out to Bowling Green.
There are a few reasons why we are moving, and why we chose Bowling Green, Kentucky. One of them is that it is closer to some of our family. Mindy (Nathanael's sister) lives there, and my sisters live in South Carolina, about a 6 hour drive away. The considerably lower cost of living was a factor in our decision as well. There is a much better chance that I won't have to work when we have kids if we live in Kentucky, rather than if we live in California. One of the reasons we chose BG is because we both know quite a few people there, and partly because of that, we think Nathanael will be able to quickly find a job there.
We're really excited, and nervous, and sad all at the same time. We're not moving because we're unhappy here. We love California. But we think we can love Kentucky too, and we're excited to be adventurous. We're sad about leaving our friends and family here, and I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye.
Please pray for a safe drive for Nathanael next week.
I know how hard it will be for you guys to leave. But I also know you'll be happy in KY. Having family..and good friends...close by makes the transistion so much easier. We're excited you guys will be so close!!
I am so excited about having you guys out here! Good luck with everything in the moving process. I hope everything goes smoothly and that Nathanael is able to find a job as quickly as possible!!!
We are so excited that you are moving here. Moving is never easy - hopefully we can make it a little bit easier. Good luck without Nathanael - I know it's not fun.
For much of his life, Nathanael has been trying to become popular enough on the internet so that when you google his name, he is the number one result.
It's impossible when there is another, more famous than my own husband (gasp!), Nathanael May in the world, who spells his name exactly the same way.
Inevitably, what you will find when you google "Nathanael May" is...Nathanael May, the famous pianist.
Alas!
But fear not, little readers.
There is something else that you can google, whereby Nathanael May, my own husband, will be...as he has always dreamed of being...the number one google result.
