I wonder how horrified we would be if we actually witnessed Christ's crucifixion. Innocence & Perfection being tormented?
What would it change?
-our worship?
-our focus?
-our seriousness?
-our teaching?
LUKE 23:45-47
"because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last. Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising God, saying, "Certainly this man was innocent." "
Paraphrazing an encouraging talk held at starbucks with some pretty great people::::
You are a Christian all the time.
I mess up so much.
We all need each other to be real and focused all the time.
Nothing is worth losing your soul over.
It's easy to get caught up in things... so be careful.
Keep focused.
Don't grow discouraged.
For all we do here, we will be rewarded or punished for it later.
Keep focused.
Don't let other people tell you what you believe.
Stand firm in your faith.
Keep focused.
Prayer is amazing.
Freedom of religion is a gift... an amazingly wonderful spectacular gift.
Keep focused.
so true, as for me, just some thoughts about what i was thinking about after some "school of hard knocks" experiences. please don't feel sorry for me, though i thanks you for your caring thoughts. you really are a wise young girl, love you :]
thats a great talk right there. it reminds me of that lesson at church one time when he said 'what you are here, will determine where you are FOREVER.' it really smacked me in the face.
