I have tons to say. You can post for me. We are all doing a happy dance that the kids are back at home for a while. Babysitting is not too bad but 24/7 is tiring. I am too old for that.
we took advantage of the Free Museum Day sponsored by the Smithsonian to go have brunch at Tap and see the sights at the High Museum.
If local folks haven't been lately, you would do well to go and see HistoryRemixed, a photographic chronicle of the civil rights movement in the south, before it closes Oct 5. It brought tears to my eyes. There're just no words.
What do you have that organizes your mixes? I have a little box. I have a lot of packets of stuff like cookie and muffin mixes that Lindsey makes. I saw this bin cart at Sams but it is huge. But I like the bin idea.
No, he didn't. Other people that were taking their test before me didn't fare so well with her, though. She talked to me the whole time I was taking my test. Which I thought was weird.
I have to have my stomach rubbed, preferably if my sister can do it for me (which she never does) I fall asleep faster.
By her. So, here are 8 random facts/habits about me. After which I have to choose 8 others to tag, and to let them know by commenting on their blog. So, there it is. If I tag you, those are the rules. And now, fascinating facts about moi:
1) I cannot open my jaw all the way. I now have to wear a jaw adjusting thingee that looks like a retainer because I have a jaw joint that is damaged. How it was damaged, who knows. Hopefully my doc can fix it. So if you are watching me try in vain to get a hamburger in my mouth, that is why.
2) I'm obsessed with craft blogs. I cannot stop myself trolling endlessly through them. I keep telling myself to get off the blogs and actually craft something myself.
3) I'm an excellent test taker. I used to look forward to exams. Isn't that sick?
4) If my life depended on it, or you offered me a million dollars, I'd still never be able to:
A) do a cartwheel
B) open a package correctly
C) parallel park
5) I love the way a person smells after coming in from outside.
6) I'm a total self-destructive night owl. I often stay up until 1am, even if I have to get up in the morning. I keep telling myself this is crazy behavior, and that it will shorten my life. But the Proverbs 31 woman did it, so maybe it is ok. :-)
7) Oh, good, number seven. This is almost over. I have trouble swallowing large pills. I have a fear of it. Often I choke on even medium sized ones.
8) I have four older sisters and we all have names starting with the letter L. Also, we all have middle names starting with the letter A.
That's it. Wake up and go do your entry if I've tagged you:
Chelsea Jamie Beth Angela Amy Ashley [Kristyn|lilyofthevalley ] why doesn't this link work?
Brian
That link isn't working because of the space between Kristyn's username and the bracket. Okay, it is just too cool that you, too, love Dick Francis novels. I think my parents own almost every one, so I usually start reading one while I am there. My self-esteem owes orthodontia a huge debt. Do you feel that way?
I just heard that Disney is giving away a one day ticket next year to everyone on their birthday to use on that day. Hope your trip falls on someones day. Great site for deals is www.mousesavers.com and one for everything else is www.allearsnet.com
thinking about it. Kevin offered to keep the older ones and let me have the time to go. Guess the main thing is healing, but I should be good by that time.
Did you actually try to delete and retype it under my name? I still think there's a space there, even though your fancy-schmancy Safari browser doesn't think so.
One of my hobbies is collecting crochet books. I'll never make all the projects in them. I just like looking at the books. And thanks for playing along! :)
after hanging on by half a molecule for weeks, Abby's first loose tooth came out today when she took a bite of her lunchtime burrito.
the new tooth is already growing in.
I was all ready to hand it over to the tooth fairy this evening, but she wants to keep it for a while. It is a tired looking little thing -- the corners are chipped and the enamel is all worn off. Not much of a prize for the tooth fairy.
Reminds me of the time one of my front teeth was hanging on by gum particles, but I still refused to let anyone pull it out. Then I bit a fry, and out it came.
How tramatic! My two front teeth on top were loose at the same time. My grandpa wanted to pull them out and I said no, of course. So then he told me he just wanted to look at them and promised not to touch them. Of course I opened my mouth and he YANKED...and they didn't come out. They were loose enough, but after that they were dangling and gushing blood. So I had to go back and let him pull them the rest of the way out. Horror!
Feet are better. (not normal, though) I am learning to take it easy. :) I'm going to inform the doctor of the situation tomorrow. It's a toss up as to whether I want to miss Fri. night. ;)
