The weather can't make up its mind what it wants to do today. Right now it's doing nothing. It's kind of spotty like this throughout middle-southern TN and down as far as Atlanta. I'm watching Atlanta because at about 6:00 tonight Megan will be passing through there on her way to Florida.
She's riding with some very nice friends who got stranded this morning outside of Columbia. I felt so bad for them. I am hoping and praying that the rest of their trip is uneventful.
I will be very thankful when I hear that they've reached campus safely.
12/2--They made it safely...with no further problems, YAY!
Wow!!! I love this kid!! I like this song, and to think this 3-4 year old knows more words to it than I do! :) I am impressed!! I love his Asian accent! Remember to rever render your heart!
Something I had forgotten was that the high priests were not allowed to rend their garments, but Caiaphas did at the trial of Jesus.
Lev. 21.10 And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
Mt. 26.65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.
I used to not like reading the books of the Bible that covered the wilderness wanderings. (I know, not good.) :-( I loved reading everything else though. Now I've really gotten into it and can't wait to get to those sections, especially the 5 almost 6 chapters that cover the middle 37 years and the chapters that cover the 40th year, right after Aaron dies, where it tells of the brazen serpent and Balaam and defeating King Og of Bashan, the Midianites, the Amorites & King Sihon, and taking over the transjordanic land. I just wish we were told which year Miriam died and which year Moses and Aaron smote the 2nd rock.
I got to talk to my girl on the phone last night for a good while. I enjoyed hearing about all of her plans and what she's been doing. I'm so glad she calls and stays in touch.
My boys and I played games last night. I think it's been awhile since I laughed so much and so hard.
"Christians are prone to write their complaints in marble and their blessings in the sand." --Charles Spurgeon
Kids are definitely blessings written in marble.
My kids have taught me so much. I enjoy being with them. I am truly blessed.
You guys are such a great family and example to me!! I love and miss you all! And p.s. Scott won't let me have a cat! We had one until the day after Joey came home from the hospital! Sampson, my cat, was my first baby!! I miss him, but I have good distractions! :) Mom heard of a dog needing a good home the other day (it was a Yorkie, and she thought that would be the perfect dog for Joey) and I seriously contemplated asking Scott to agree to it...but then Joey was sick all day, and I was cleaning and consoling all day, and I thought, "I am so glad that I don't have an animal right now! But definitely later when Joey can help.
