You submit your name and info and they will match you up with a soldier. You can correspond with him and send care packages if you wish.
My husband, daughter and I have adopted a young man and have sent packages and numerous emails back and forth with him. We usually send enough for him to share with the other guys and they truly appreciate it so much. We try to send letters of encouragement and thanks for their service along with fun stuff and snacks and homemade cookies which they really love!! They have told us that anything that reminds them of home helps them get through the days while they are there. They are so happy to know that there are those of us back here in the states who haven't forgotten about them and truly appreciate what they are doing.

Ok - so I'm a newbie here... never blogged before.....
What can I say except that I am sooo blessed.. I have a wonderful husband and daughter who I love so much and who I am so thankful for.
I also am so blessed to have so such wonderful girlfriends who even though they live so far away and we don't see each other often enough, still hold a place in my heart and I'm so blessed to have them!!
I guess that's why it's so wonderful to have the internet and BLOGGING.....we can keep in touch!!!!! :)
