It's the kind of day that makes you smile when you look out the window. When I stepped outside in the sunshine in my long sleeved shirt I wasn't hot because the air is cool. I am so excited about going to Heaven, but for now I'm enjoying this beautiful earth.
We're going to Kentucky a week from tomorrow!!(: I think I get more excited every time I get to go home. Wish we could see everyone we want to see this time but it's going to be such a short trip that we'll probably have to plan on visiting with friends at Christmas time when we're there for over a week.
My belly is taking over. At my last doctor's visit (Thursday) I had only gained 2 lbs total, but I don't really see how that works when nothing is fitting and my feet are almost out of sight! As long as our baby is healthy and my belly is measuring where it should be, I am trying to just embrace the belly. (: I do love being pregnant. I feel great and I probably smile just about every time I feel him move, which is a lot. Can't wait to kiss his face!
Well, I'm off to watch a Christmas movie with my hubby.
I just showed Abby your picture and told her "There's a baby in there!" and she replied, "Where's the dogs??" Ha. She can have the dogs. I'll have the baby! You look wonderful.
The tech said everything seemed to be normal! From what I understand, she's not allowed to tell us if anything is wrong, but I asked anyway and she said nothing alarmed her. We will get the full report on Thursday when I meet with doctor, but we are so thankful for this sweet baby! We got some good face shots too. (:
This has got to be the most precious baby boy I've ever had the delight to look forward to!! What a special little boy he already is to so many people!! Can't wait to hug and kiss him in person. Doesn't Mimi sound wonderful??
Raise your hand if you're ready for this election to be over. I've cast my vote and am continuing to pray daily. I'm just so tired of the and the worry and the stress that people seem to be under. I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping up with the campaigns or thinking about the issues, because, well, how can we not? But, I think we do have to be careful not to let this election take over our every thought. We, as Christians, can have peace knowing that God will take care of us no matter who is elected. I think sometimes we forget about this peace and forget that the worries of this earth are only temporary. This includes the election.
This is the best political post I've read. Thank you, my dear. Have I mentioned that we can't WAIT to see you?? Love your new picture on facebook - did you get your hair cut? You look adorable, as always.
How fun. We love in a few weeks as well. I can't WAIT to start on the baby's room. So...are you going traditional Blue? Or what do you have in mind for decor?
umm...that was supposed to say MOVE not love. I found a really cool website called ratemyspace.hgtv.com. it's a site where people post pictures of rooms in their house. but you can search for specific themes or rooms. there are TONS of baby rooms to look at. I'm doing a green room (different shades from sage to lime) and I'm doing black and white furniture. I'm not getting a complete matching set. It will be more mismatched. Like black crib with a white bookshelf, and a black rocking chair with a white changing table. I'e seen quite a few pictures like that and I really like it. I was also thinking like...B&W polkadot sheets with B&W striped dust ruffle, etc. I'm making the baby's quilt...so I'm actually not buying a bedding set. More piecing it together. But the quilt will be mostly B&W with a few splashes of green. Kind of Bold...But I think we'll love it!
Any luck with a house? I hope you find something wonderful. Can't wait to see you on turkey day. I know about three other people that are going to be pretty thrilled also. Or four - Grant, too!
