Finally we sold our house and we can buy the house we wanted! Yea!!! We are closing on ours and the new one on June 6. Guess we all know what I'll be doing Memorial day weekend.. packing! Oh well, it will be worth it :-)

It was a no go with what we hoped would be the potential buyers.. bummer! We do have two different individuals who are interested so hopefully something will pan out soon.

Our house is still for sale. We have made a proposal to a potential buyer in that they would pay down half of what we are asking, pay us for two years with interest, and then have to pay us the remaining balance in 24 months. If they were to default, then we would keep all money paid to us. They can not get a loan at this point since they had been self employed and loan companies are so particular about who gets loans and who doesn't with the economy the way it is. After talking to my dad and a couple of others, all thought it was a great idea.. therefore, we put in the proposal last night. At this point.. just waiting.

We have picked out another house and have a contingency on it which is only a few miles up the road. The new house will have 4 bedrooms and an unfinished bonus. Then we will finish off the bonus as we need it right away. The house has a lot of perks.. it has a fenced in back yard, sodded front and back yard with irrigation system installed, screened in back porch (which I know my animals will love). The people that own it have only lived there for a few months (the house was built in 2007 too) and have decided to move back to NJ. They are also leaving us a flat screen TV, back porch furniture, the bar stools, the lawnmower and the front porch furniture. And all of this for a great price!! If this proposal is accepted and all works out, we hope to be in our new house by the end of this month. Just keeping our fingers crossed.

Work is still crazy! I've worked more than my fair share of hours. Thankfully I have an awesome hubby that helps me with the boys and even brings me dinner when I've had to work late! We are ending our regular music, art and dance sessions and ramping up for summer camp.

Some proud mom news... My oldest is receiving an award Tuesday night for maintaining a 95 average or better the entire school year. They are providing dinner for us during the banquet. How exciting! On Thursday night, both boys will be performing in their spring band concert. I just got a new digital camera since my other one took very poor quality pics. Hopefully I can get some good shots!

What's up for today.. Today, we are going to go strawberry picking. Also, my oldest son is going over to the high school (how sad actually that he starts high school this fall) for percussion tryouts. He will be in marching band this fall.. exciting stuff but it's hard to believe how they've grown.

American Idol... who's your fav?? I'm hoping David Cook will win it all but unfornately, I think David Archuleta will win. Go David Cook!!!

This past weekend was busy as always. I'm not sure which is worse, the weekends or the week. We had only one showing on the house this past weekend but it sounds promising. They loved the house and the garage, the kitchen was a little smaller than they wanted (no kidding it's to small for me too) but it's #2 on their list! So that's exciting! We are still waiting to hear from the showing from this past Wednesday. The couple loved the house and the yard but they had two other houses to look at before making their final decision. But our house was definitely top on their list. Our house will be on the market 3 weeks tomorrow and so far we've had about 12-15 showings.. I've lost count. We had 4 showings in one day last weekend. One of the houses we liked is now under contract so unfortunately we lost out on that one but there are still a few others we like.

Work is busy! I hired a new employee and I spent last week training her which kind of puts me behind on my own work. I'll still be training her for the next few weeks. So far she's catching on quick which is a plus for me! Unfortunately though, it puts me probably working on Saturday.. yuck!!!

Jason was sick last week so I ended up taking him to the dr. last Thursday. He had to have a breathing treatment, which I knew would be the case. He had to sit up in the recliner to sleep on Wednesday night. He was having such difficulty breathing (and too stubborn to let me take him to the ER for a breathing treatment), so had wanted me to sleep on the couch. Well, the dog wanted to sleep with me on the couch as well as the cat which didn't leave too much room for me. Didn't sleep too good that night. However, after we got back from the dr, we watched the movie The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher. Good movie! I really want to watch it again! I do have to say, it was nice to have a day off from work, just not under the best circumstances of course, but still it was nice not to have to go to work. Of course, I had alot of work waiting for me the next day! Anywho.. he's back to work now and feeling better. :-)

Well, I'm off to finish dinner and then we have to go to the music store in Raleigh to get new heads for my sons drumset. He busted a hole in one of them and has some dents in the others. And of course he lost his drumsticks, AGAIN, so he needs more of those too. Supposedly someone at school "stole" them (the day after I bought them) but that's his excuse everytime he can't find something of his.. which will usually turn up in the unorganized backpack (for example, his Ipod)!

I'm just sitting here waiting for my paper shredder to cool off. Apparently I have overheated it with all I've been shredding. I've been needing to clean out my filing cabinet and get ready for the new year and I've finally gotten around to it.

My latest test results came back. Still in complete remission! Yea!! However, at the moment I'm feeling super yucky because I think I took too much of my medicine tonight. I couldn't remember if I had taken my pill or not (which normally I have a good system down) so I took one thinking it's ok if I did take two because I used to have to take two but now I KNOW I must have taken both. From the way I feel, I think I had already take one. I don't miss 800 mg at all!!!!

Ok.. feeling much, much better now even though throwing up is not fun!

This past week we packed our house up to "de-clutter" as they say on HGTV and our house is officially on the market. We are so excited and hope it sells soon :-)

Well I'm off to get some crackers and hopefully continue shredding.
