We're having another grandbaby and just found out it's a boy!! Jeff and Amanda are expecting this little wonder in April and we're all very excited. Abby has a baby in her tummy too, like mommy-wonder if she's having a boy too! Anyway, our Thanksgiving was too wonderful for words. Any time all the children and grandchildren are with us, it's a bessing! Hope everyone had a day to be thankful for too!
Keven and I have just returned from a long weekend, leaf peeping(that's what the pros call it) road trip. We traveled through Alabama,Tennessee Kentucky, and Georgia. It was beautiful!! I never get tired of seeing the breath taking sights God gives us each new season. The leaves were just beginning to turn because it has been warmer than usual there. The higher we went in the mountains, the more vivid the colors became and the sky couldn't have been any bluer(is that a word?). My children know how much I have missed the seasons over the years-I'm grateful to have a chance to experience this truly amazing gift from God now. Thanks to my sweet husband for enabling my season fix! Happy fall to all-remember to get out and enjoy wherever you are, especially with those little ones!
We were in Georgia September and the leaves were just trying to start to change. I would LOVE to see it when it is at its full beauty!! Sounds like a great trip! :)
Please tell me the leaves are still in their beauty! Gene and I are headed up through Alabama, Tennessee, SC and NC. He's holding a meeting just over the border in Martinsville, VA. We leave on Thursday. Glad you got to go and enjoy the "wonders of creation!"
Yay! I'm hoping rain and wind won't slip in and wipe out colors before we get there. When I lived up north, I learned you could count on November winds and rains...but we WILL get there in October. I'm so excited! We want to drived through the Shenandoah Valley, too.
Jimmy is such an artist when it comes to gardening...I wish I had half his knowledge and talent. People in Centerville would drive by just to look. This one will be within our wooden fence. I hope Keven's does well. Jim has sprayed this plot with Round Up to get the grass out, then will come back with rye as a winter cover, with plans to till that in after winter to enrich the soil.
Thank you. I don't really see Gene and Aleta that much. But just knowing they are next door is comforting to me. I have gotten use to that in just a few short months that I have been here.
Next time you need to stay to wacth them open their bags. They were SO excited!! Trace is treating his pumpkin like a punching bag. It's so cute. He's such a BOY!! Kalee LOVED all her things. She was old enough this year to really get it. She's sleeping with her "Little Maggie" right now. I think that and the Princess sticker book were her faves. I LOVED all the clothes!! Thanks SO much mom! Love you! (But not b/c of the gifts!) Ha,ha!
I don't know if there will be any trick or treaters come by. Aleta said since they have been here there haven't been any. Yes, it is that time of the year to turn the clocks back. I do wish they would just leave the same all the year round.
