I love having to go through stuff. We've given away a lot of junk. Reegan is even cool with getting rid of a lot of her toys. She knows her birthday is coming up, though!
We are storing everything in Ryan's parents garage. When we move in with them, we will re-organize our stuff and bring a lot of it to their attic. Right now, we have almost everything in a one car garage! And its only filling up half the garage! We haven't even been stacking stuff high. We still have to move our washer and dryer, and kitchen stuff. I know we could get everything in a one car garage. I am really excited about that! When we really do move (and bring all our stuff with us) we won't need a huge moving truck!
Our house is pretty empty. Reegan is loving the echo everywhere. I guess I better get started emptying out the kitchen. Hope y'all have as much fun as me today! (No sarcasm in that...I really enjoy packing)
I think it is a very wise thing that you will be moving in with your in-laws. When October comes they will be GLAD to see you leave! House guests are like old dead fish--after 3 days they begin to stink. JUST JOKING! I know they will be very sad to see you leave. Love you.
Well, we close on the house a week from Friday. It's about time we decided where we're going to live after that! We've decided to stay in Indy through the first week of October to let Ryan finish out the contract he is in now. When it gets closer to time to move, we will check with the travelling company to see what jobs are available then. We had thought it would be cool to go to TN for a while (it is three month contracts with this travelling company), but since we are waiting till Oct to move that would put us away from everyone during the holiday (and cold) months. We will probably come straight to Texas. We don't know where in Texas--that will depend on what jobs are available in October. If we were moving now, we would almost for sure go to San Antonio. Anyone in San Antonio feel free to give pros and cons to living there (take in to account we can leave after 3 months).
This company will put us up in a furnished apartment. After the three month contract is up, we can pick where we want to go next. The furnished apartment makes it really easy to move around. Ryan can work for this company travelling around as long as he wants. If we find somewhere we like and want to stay, Ryan can just apply for a full time job at that hospital.
Moving to a furnished apartment is making it kinda hard to pack. Most of our stuff is going to be stored in Ryan's parents' attic until we settle down (we have no idea if that will be in three months or over a year, we'll have to see how we like travelling). I also don't know what is meant by furnished; does that mean linens are provided? And I'm betting they'll have dishes, but probably only four plates, etc. It is nice that we have Ikea furniture, though. We can take all of our furniture apart and it fits in a really small space. When we bought the furniture, we had our couch, two chairs, coffee table, a big rug, curtains, and two lamps all in the back of Ryan's Ford Ranger. Have I ever mentioned that I love Ikea! I can't really complain about packing--I love getting the chance to go through all our stuff and make Good Will runs. I love de-cluttering! Ryan and I are both fairly good about not keeping things we don't need, so we don't have an excessive amount to pack.
I guess I am rambling. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
for reegans bday I do not want to get her a toy or something else to move. What could we get her to help you all out? Maybe a closet on wheels? You know those ones that you can fold up and roll around......lol
Sorry I misread the favorite granddaughter visiting today. YOU are my FIRST FAVORITE INDY granddaughter. I thought you knew that. S.A. has always been our favorite city to visit. Best part--close to the Hill Country. It will be here before you know it. Love and kisses
okay to the lights on the bike....where do I find them? Also I was going to make her another curly bow- she told me hers was too small!ha! Then we found these princess window clings that I thought would be good for your long trip to texas. I promise they will not take up space~ also I made salsa today! you need to try it! I think it is pretty good.
My friends, John and Lesley moved to SanAntonio not to long ago. John is a nurse and took a position down there. You might be able to get some good info about the area and jobs from them.
Hello! We LOVE San Antonio. We've just been here for over 2 months. John really likes his job. There are many hospitals in the area. Does your husband speak Spanish? :) e-mail me and I'll send you more info and would be glad to talk to you and answer any questions. Is your husband with an agency? Good luck with everything! lasalyers3@yahoo.com
The owner of the rock gym we go to loves Reegan. He and his wife are always impressed with her climbing. She is by far the youngest person that actually climbs. Some kids have their parents pull them up the wall with the rope, but we don't let Reegan cheat. The owner of the gym asked us if he could take pictures of Reegan to put on the gym's website! Of course we said yes.
Click on the Photos tab on the website. Reegan is the top picture. She is at the top of the 25' climb. Now we are waiting for her to get sponsored and get free climbing gear!
Reegan loves it when she is climbing and everyone in the gym stops to watch her. And of course her daddy loves that, too.
I guess I never thought about how young she really is doing that. Maybe something will come along- that will be really cool! GOod idea with not pushing her! See you tonight!
Will you think about getting AIM when you move? That way we can talk during the week and I can know what you all are up to. I am really going to miss having you right down the street! MAN! Right when I get sisters (finally) they leave!
What kind of job is Ryan looking for? What population? I'd love for you to be in Houston! If he wants a rehab place, perhaps we can work for the same place ;)
Haha I'm not a "rock climber". I have gone several times and really enjoy it. It's been years though! We'd love to do it again though! Clayton's never done it! :)
I never said anything about seeing you today or something like that--I said never thout you would see the day (when I do this stuff)Whenever and whereever you come and land we will be happy for you and us. Love
Yes, this means we sold the house!!!
As long as everything goes through fine, we will be moving soon!
Now we just need to decide where we are moving to! We had kinda given up hope on someone wanting a tiny house, so we hadn't really made plans beyond "now we wait." I guess we better hurry and make some decisions!
okay..so I read what you wrote on AuntM page. Why are our boys like that? I understand how you feel since after we got engaged Nathan did not want to call any of his family. So I had to so no one would find out through someone else. I know that some were hurt because Nathan did not tell them! URG!
