The fence is done...............now if I can just get the mess cleaned up, the pool covered, the leaves picked up and on and on and on I should be able to start on the christmas decorations. I have found that the older I get the less decorations go up, hmmmmmmmmmm, wonder why that is.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the Cowboy's football game........they will of course win!!!!!
Wow, I'm jealous that we didn't get out on Friday. That would have been so nice. We haven't had a day off since Memorial Day weekend.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I think I left it at David and Jamie's. The only thing is that I forgot to leave the chair zipper covers. Those are still rolling around in my suburban from Homecoming weekend!
PS My dad needs something more like pine or cedar planks. His OCD has kicked in bigtime and he will settle for nothing less! He is building a really cool apartment for himself at my old house.
Congrats on completion of your fence! Building fences & maintaining them is a challenge indeed! I also find as I get older (one reason anyway) the fewer the Xmas decor. May your holidays be filled with laughter and great football viewing :)
23 years ago today at 4:07 AM my youngest was born. It has been an interesting and wonderful journey to say the least. I am proud of the man he has become. Go here and wish him Happy Birthday. I love you Tim, mom.
We had a very nice get together on Sunday night after church to celebrate a friends birthday. Everyone had a good time with plenty of food and fun. Monday night was another story....Max's mom had some problems with chest pains that morning and took her nitro tablets and was fine, ate lunch and dinner and went to get ready for bed around 8:00. Tim stopped by after he got off work to visit so we are watching tv and her bedroom door opens and she calls Max....We all go see what is going on and she says she is in pain and her arms hurt and can hardly walk, so Tim, being the EMT, took over, called 911 and within a few minutes we had a fire truck and support with about 6 men then the ambulance arrives with 2 more and they are all in her bedroom. Now imagine this...she has her nightgown on and her teeth out with all these guys in there too. (I did tell her later, had she known she was going to have so many men in her bedroom, she would have at least kept her teeth in).We go to the hospital (Tim rode in the ambulance with her), spend all night in the ER, (Max did, Tim and I left about 12:30). all day in a holding room and finely get her in a room at 6:00 that evening. They drain the fluid off that she is retaining, say she didn't have a heart attack and she comes home on Wed. completly wipped out because she didn't sleep hardly any while there. She is better today but tires easily. Since she fell a couple of times in the last week or so we have decided that we can no longer leave her home alone so one of us will be staying home at all times. Keep us in your prayers while we go through this time in our life, that we might stay focused on the things that are important, God and family.
such a hard time watching those we love grow older and weak. still fresh on my mind watching Eric's grandmother leave us. Anyways, you are in our thoughts and prayers! Love you all! Tell Inez we say hello!!
She did have a good time. And I enjoy sharing her candy. ;)
I will keep your family in my prayers. I know it must be a tough time. But like you said, stay focused on the things that are important. :)
I am going to the doctor with my son on Wed. It does not look good. My son wants to quit the chemo because the side effects mean a stay in the hospital. I think we know what will happen then. But the question is, what are the chances if it continues?
Im kinda behind so I didn't know all this about Inez.`I hope she continues to get stronger. I will be praying for her, and defnately you and Max. My mom went through this 2 times and between me, Kristi, my mom and don scroggins we didn't have to miss very many services, plus my mom needed the break and going to church is her favorite thing to do. Will be thinking of you.
Survived (hopefully) my last yard sale, but then I always say that, but I really, really mean it this time. Sold all my living room furniture so now I get to go buy some more, yippee :) I was told I had to get rid of what I had first and I "ALWAYS" do what I'm told :)
Feeling better after a steroid pack and will see how things go after I've been finished with it for awhile.
My mother-in-law fell on Wednesday, was not injured but made us realize that we will be unable to leave her alone anymore since she would not have been able to get up if we had not been home. We will be taking turns going to church now, but since I am teaching this quarter, Max will only be able to go to Sunday night services. We'll see how things work out.
Fall is defiantly in the air, which I am very ready for, cool mornings and beautiful days. Count your blessings and thank God daily for all things great and small. Always let your light shine so that all may see the Lord through you.
I didn't feel up to a garage sale this year, but I hope to have one in the spring. I am glad that your mother in law is able to stay with you all and be in your care. I have watchted Nathan's Mom put endless hours and so much sacrificial time into caring for her ailing parents and know it's a huge commitment to do that. I know she would also have it no other way and gets joy from being able to care for them! I will be thinking of you all and praying for you while you care for her. I guess I didn't know that you were caring for her. I think it's great!
Not much going on here. Have not been feeling well and visits to the the Dr are not coming up with any answers only more questions. What do you do when you know something is not right but you can't come up with an answer as to what is wrong? Do you just ignore how you are feeling or keep hunting for a reason? Had an ultrasound yesterday, will get results next week but I don't expect any answers from it, which is probably good. Low back pain with more discomfort when sitting but not constant. Has been going on for 3 weeks or more with intermittent periods of intensity. Less painful if I'm up moving around and does not hurt to walk. OK everyone, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I wake up with aches and pains every morning but not to the point where they stop me from doing anything. My back is starting to act up now and I feel it the most when doing yard work. These things happen in our 60s. But I have friends younger than I who have had these pains for years. I count my blessings that I have been relatively pain free all these past years. One more thing. In my younger years I could carry all this excess weight now my body is tellng me, "NO MORE".
Sorry to hear of your aches. I was down a couple of days last month, and you hurt all over! I went to a chiropractor. I believe in them (for most all cures). Hope you get relief quick. Chad took those treatments in a traction machine.
