While listening to the results of the votes coming in tonight, I heard that between the two presidental candidates they have spent over a billion dollars....I find that just obscene!!!! Does anyone else think there should be a time and dollar limit set on these policical races? People are losing their homes and their life savings, but these candidates are spending money like it grows on trees and they are the very ones (along with 543 others in our congress) who make the laws that have gotten our economy into such a mess. There was a young man at worship service the other day that prayed that God would not give us the president that we as a nation deserve. All I can say is Amen.
Not only do I think that they shouldn't get to spend money, I think they shouldn't be able to do commercials and other sensational things. I think we should go back to the days where you could only listen to the debates on the radio. That way the media wouldn't be able to skew anything. They should be completely out of the media.
amen!!! what i find so sad about political campaigns is that the money they are spending are given to them! they don't need a billion dollars. i think if i was a politician, i'd take the money that was donated to me and use it to better the country instead of slandering my competitors.
Happy Thanksgiving! I miss those old times so I'm trying to get going with my own! My dad is TN and my mom is over here so she said to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
My children think it's time I started commenting on Pleonast and not just observing. I was waiting for something profound to come to me--so far nothing. However, since a lot of you have seen my beautiful daughter Jill's cute engagement video -- I think it's cute, we have dial up internet service so it took me about 2 hours to watch all 11 minutes of it last night -- and you've made such sweet comments, I have something to say too. Her Dad and I are so proud and happy for her. She has had a constant, unwavering requirement throughout her dating and that is he had to be a Christian. I admire her so much for never compromising that goal. We're so glad God's providence has brought Stephen and Jill to this point of commitment and we pray their life together will become a happy family that always trusts God and puts Him first. There, I'm done for now.
Look at you! I knew you could post!!! Thank you for your kind words and for raising me and for loving me no matter what. Stephen and I can't wait to share our special day with you!
