Voting For A Woman... 10-09-08 02:00pm PST
I've heard this a few times from some of the women on the Nast. They don't feel comfortable voting for a woman. Now please enlighten me as to why a woman is any different as a politician than a man. If she has a supportive spouse (like any male candidate)

So ladies enlighten me.
backtoblackTerry with a "Y". I have erased my response to your question three times as I do not wish to bring down the wrath of Pleonast mothers on your site. Let me think out my response and get back to you ;)
joes_wifeI guess the main thing for me is that God has defined a role for a woman as a keeper at home. I want my daughter's role models to be women who have embraced the role God has given them and not necessarily those who have climbed the ladder of success. I think God's view of a "successful" person is probably much different than ours :) I obviously will train my daughter's to find a trade or career to care for themselves if they remain single, but I hope to inspire them to be content if they marry, to stay at home, support their husband by keeping the home, raising their children and being the best helper God could ever give a husband.

I think the home is the key to getting our country back on track morally and I hope our daughters will remember what is most important. To influence the circle that is right around them.
joes_wifeAll that being said...

If I were to pick any woman to be the VP pick, I would have picked someone exactly like Sarah Palin. She has the ability to be strong and at the same time, feminine and motherly. I think she was a great pick.
blagosloven_chovekShould you, as an Elder and if situation was presented, vote for your wife to be placed into such a position? Why or why not?
cellocellocelloI have no opinion.
cellocellocelloDeja Vu was really pretty good. It was weird seeing Jesus (jim caviezel) as a bad guy...
cellocellocelloBut school is great! Working on my thesis film... did you know I am making a western?

When people are STUPID! 09-30-08 10:37am PST
In talking to my banker yesterday at Washington Mutual I learned why they were sold to another bank. Wamu was in OK shape, needed to be bought out but had $18 Billion in assets. Then the liberal media got involved. "The sky is falling, your bank is failing" and according to the employee people began coming in and closing their accounts. When they asked the people why, people with as little as $50 claimed they heard they would lose their money. Or the FDIC would take years to get the money for them.

The majority of people removing their money were elderly people who believe what they hear from CBS, ABC and NBC. So a bunch of uninformed old people cause a $16.9 Billion dollar run on a back and caused it to be sold to Chase Bank.

I wish I could put my money in a bank that had only people who have theirs in an internet bank so old people can't find them.
beckypertSounds like we are both enjoying the good times of medical healing! Ha!

Where I would like to live when I retire :>) 09-29-08 05:15am PST
I'm beginning to think about moving once Aaron marries and starts a family. Seems as if he continues to want to be on that end of the nation. So here are my requirerments.

Green lawns, moderate temperatures. A house with a wrap around porch and Rain. California is very nice but a month does not a rainy season make. We don't need a big house just big enough to put up family, especially little ones so that I can explain to Neva there are more than just one set of grandkids are great. I don't want to be in the country, but I don't want my neighbor next door so close that I can read their cereal box in the window. But I have to have Verizon VIOS so I can download at very, very, very high speeds. I'd also like to live close to an HMO for my medicine and doctors.

So throw out the suggestions and expect to be questioned, but all reasonable offers will be taken.

I'd also like to fulfill my father's goal of living near the civil war battle grounds. He passed it on.

Nothing soon but it never hurts to look.
joes_wifeNorth Carolina?
jollyyellowgiantcome to texas... we have all that, but it is hot.
oudegekkemensOne place I will not live is Central or Southern Texas. Maybe Northeast but otherwise farther east.
