Hey guys!
Just throwing in a quick update so certain people will quit complaining that I dont ever update. Everythings going good. I've been enjoying the summer since my last post. We had a great meeting in July. I've gotten to spend some time with cousins that I havent seen in a good while; as well as Bradley's girlfriend, Amy, who apparently just joined pleonast!
I went to the Kleinwood Singings for the first time this year, it was awesome and beautiful. Then Ashley, Ryan and I got out of Lufkin for a few days where we saw the cousins, spent the night at Ryan's parents, and went to Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.
At work, I survived Tax Free Weekend for another year. And I also recently got a raise, which is nice because I'm cutting back a day for school.
I registered at Angelina College this morning. I had planned on moving forward to SFA but realized theres more that I can do at Angelina right now. That will be great because it's cheaper and thats less gas wasted driving back and forth to Nacgodoches.

I cant take the East Texas summer heat. I'd love to be up in Alaska right now, but seeing as how that wont happen anytime soon, I have to resort to sneaking to our back storage room at work and sitting in the walk in freezer for a few minutes.
At work, we're RIGHT under the glass windows and the sun beats down on us with no remorse. Working right next to the ovens dont help either. I will be glad when August passes us and we get on into my favorite time of the year.
Things have been going pretty good. My summer has been...well...like any other time of the year. Next week I go to talk to an SFA councelor. Getting back into the swing of school is going to be a little bit hard. I've been spoiled enough with working in the morning, coming home to watch movies, or sleeping, or going to see Narnia 3 times in the theater *cough* yeah I did *cough*!
Yesterday we went and saw WALL*E. It was such a good movie and the message was very good. makes you want to run out and go Green! We went to the movies as a result of Hannah doing so well after having an out patient procedure on her back to remove a large birthmark. The surgery went great and Hannah is doing just fine. She was well enough to want to go to Starbucks immediately following her discharge from the hospital. And she was well enough to party with the whole family that evening in celebration of Ashley's 25th birthday.
So besides all this, life has stayed steady. I hope everyone's summer is going great. I'm already seeing "Back to School" signs up at the department stores in the mall. YUCK! I always dreaded seeing those signs pop up when I was little.
Does anyone have any big plans for the Fourth of July? The mall closes early that day, thats pretty exciting for me. I'm suppose to go to Ashley and Ryan's house for a celebration which includes out door activities and such. We're staying away from the craziness of the Firework show that will be taking place at the zoo. Every Lufkin citizen and their grandmother will be at the show I'm sure.
Have a great Fourth of July and enjoy the rest of your summer. |

So I say alot of news as in, new things going on in my life, not so much as in lots of news to announce.
Things around me are going to be changing alot. Hopefully I'll get to go to a new school in the Fall when I transfer to SFA.
We're getting a new church building. They will begin building next week actually.
And well, I'm new (yet familiar), again, in the life of a single. Sarah and I decided that we'll probably be better off just being friends. Which is perfectly cool because Sarah is a great friend to have.
Other new things are planned on down the road, but this is a start. And hopefully all these new things will turn out good. |

Tonight's episode for 5/15 was called "There's No Place Like Home." An obvious reference to none other then "The Wizard of Oz." But what's really cool is that this episode aired today, the 15th. This also happens to be the birthday of L. Frank Baum, author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", written in 1900.
Coincidence or fate? (a recurring question on "Lost") |
