I have been trying and trying to get a new picture on this site, and want to put pic's in Gallery, and can't manage to figure it out. I know I'm no genius with technology, but have usually been able to play around and get it figured out. I was sent a tutorial to reference, but it might as well be in Chinese!
So, am I this ignorant or is this system not user friendly? Don't answer that! If ignorance is bliss, I'm in paradise. I will try and be patient and get a tutor here to help me (so, how ya doin' Aaron?)figure it out. Not sure how I got the 1st picture on here, didn't take long at all.
Enough of my fuss-fest. Thanks for enduring. Enjoying all your pic's and videos. Maybe one day I can share some too. (heavy sigh) |

Hi. I guess I get so into reading everyone else's post, by the time I'm done with that I'm late for bed and have only replied on others' blogs. It's all so interesting that I could become neglectful of my other "duties" around the home and for my family.
This week we are having a gospel meeting (Ephesians) with Arthur Anderson from Texas. Very good speaker. Kinda boastful about the Dallas Cowboys, tho. ;) (our regular preacher Rennie Frazier is a Cowboys fan too so he's enjoying the double-digging against the Vikes) All in fun. At this moment the Dallas game is on TV and they're 41-37 ahead of the Eagles with 4 1/2 minutes left. Is it wrong to pray for a certain team to lose? (kidding)..(or not)
Please pray for my new friend Susan who I will be studying with starting next week after this gospel meeting. She comes from a pentecostal-type background but was "re" baptized 2 weeks ago at our building. She has been coming to the meeting. Shame on me that it's been a long time since I've been on a one-on-one study..I have usually been with another Christian. A little nervous. Realize I should not be! It's not for lack of confidence in God's Word, just my own short-comings in remembering where certain passages are found (yea for the concordance) and not letting her intimidate me cuz she is very strong spoken on what she believes. Fortunately we have just started a study on the Holy Spirit in Bible Class, which seems to be her (only) topic of choice. Gonna suggest we study and agree 1st on fundamentals then move on to the deeper topics? Do you agree? Suggestions very welcome.
Thanks for listening. Love you. |

Vince and I grazed our way through the State Fair on Tuesday, and after me losing quite a bit of weight in the last year, I kidded myself that if we only buy 1 of each thing we're interested in eating, then split it, we'd be doing OK. Ever heard of Pig Lickers? The most wonderful bacon dipped in the best chocolate in MN. I know that sounds awful, but I'm always game to try something out of the ordinary, and I liked it. Vince wasn't as thrilled with his 1/2 portion, but thought it was interesting.
Anyway, we did the park and ride thing, and on the bus on the way to the fair there was a guy with a long ponytail which kept me from being able to read his t-shirt, but, as coincidence will have it, we happened to take the bus back to our cars at the same time, and he had to stand, his ponytail was tucked into his shirt, so I grabbed my handy little notebook and jotted down this State Fair Prayer. It was so fitting with how I physically felt on that ride home. Shame on me for overdoing it. (can be sung to the tune of The Doxology). Here goes:
"Oh, Lord protect this festival.
The riders as they rise and fall,
the jams and pickles and the pies.
Competing for the first Grand Prize.
O, Lord we thank thee for this food
when we are in a cheese curd mood.
For Pronto Pups and onion rings.
Donuts and all deep fried things.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him for fair and rodeo.
Praise Him for sugar and for grease
and may He grant our stomachs peace."
Giggle. Gotta go now...heading for the Y to prove my repentance for falling off the weight-loss wagon. I don't have to work today! Yea! |

Good morning everyone! Want to thank everyone who has welcomed me to pleo. I was kindly prodded a little about signing up, and for whatever really odd reason, felt a little "shy" about it. For those of you that know me well, I'm NOT shy. Anyway, just to say I am 100% enjoying this and the daily reminder of brothers and sisters around the country. I love to laugh and had quite a few LOL moments on pleo, alongside with heartfelt empathy for things some brethren are dealing with. I'm looking forward to finding more old friends and new friends here.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Ours is very busy. Leafletting this morning, (great weather, yea!) then helping a dear sister move, mowing, harvesting our garden, then cleaning the building. I've got $20 for anyone out there that wants to do the latter for us. OK, how 'bout $25? |
