He preached this morning at a local congregation that dosen't have a preacher. The men at this particular congregation just take turns but every other month, men from our church volunteer to go over there and preach and Shawn preached there this morning. This was his 1st time ever doing it on a Sunday morning and he did a great job! I am so proud of him! Just wanted to share the news with you all!

A New Era
It appears as I write this that Sen. Obama will be our next president. So, what do conservative, God fearing people do now? We pray for the president-elect.
Read Romans 13:1-7. We should give the honor and respect that he deserves as he holds this position. This does not mean that we have to like or support his positions. God sets up rulers. I will not say that Obama is evil but God allowed evil men to serve as king in Old Testament times. It was part of his plan and it served a greater purpose.
Do not be sad, do not worry. However, pray. Pray for Obama that he makes wise decisions and uses the Word as his guide. Remember that he will answer to us in 4 years if he fails us.
