We DO have school this morning. Of course, it is pouring rain w lightning and thunder. Over 100 roads closed in the county. My boss thinks she won't be able to get to school all week because her road is flooded and no power. Some places got 22 inches over the weekend in town, but we didn't get that much. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Amazing how many made it out to worship yesterday in Tallahassee. Have a good one!
Glad you all have survived the rain ok. Twenty-two inches is a lot of rain. I think all of Florida got a good soaking. I saw on tv the other day that a lot of Florida was out of the drought.
Our rain gauge has collected 7 inches as of 3:30 this afternoon. That's all unofficially of course. i'm just so glad we got our roof replaced and those trees down back in June.
A couple of our girls from church just graduated and we had a black & white musical theme party for them last weekend. What a great group of young people!
VBS this week and FC camp for the kids next week. Summer is moving right along...
Great idea and great pix! Jesse is coming to camp for the first time! I hope to see you there. :) Emma is not coming this year. She chose to go to the Daughters of Virtue camp in Indiana. Are you going fishing with Kevin during camp week? Love you....
These pictures turned out so pretty! Thank you for taking the time to upload them, and with Annie on facebook! Those were a lot to do. See you later tonight! =) P.S. thank you for giving me rides to church this week - i really appreciate it.
Hope your kids had a great first day (and you, too!) Make things easy for yourself this week... there's plenty of time to settle into a routine.
I discovered last night that N's shorts that fit him two weeks ago don't fit any more -- so I have to fit in a shopping trip which is his LEAST favorite thing to do... so wish me luck :)
I'm surely not doing a good job of updating. We just seem to be running in circles, but things are beginning to wind down as the end of the school year approaches.
Annie has been working on her Snow Queen costume for an ITS banquet/project. Didn't she do a lovely job? The kid has had a million exams in the last couple of weeks.
Logan had a great opportunity to accompany his school's chorus at a concert last week. He is also staying busy with "gigs" and school!
Kevin and I are celebrating our 23rd anniversary this week. Doesn't seem possible. So lovely to spend every day with your best friend :) It's so much fun to read about what all of you have going on. Have a great week!
Happy anniversary!! I'm soooo glad you & Kevin are best friends...& that you still say/think of your relationship in that way!! I don't hear many people express it ...& I've gotten some strange looks when I've said it myself about Stan. We're celebrating our 22nd this June & I keep finding more & more reasons to be amazed by him. He is truly a heaven sent blessing. Sounds like Kevin & your kids are too!! God is so very perfect in the ways he blesses us!!
Happy Anniversary! Mark and I have our 25th coming up on June 3.
Annie looks beautiful and did an amazing job on the costume!! Tell her I played the Snow Queen in a Narnia production when I was 18 --but I did not have to make the costume! About all I remember about it is the sword fighting rehearsals.
Logan is looking pretty grown up! I'd love to have him come to my living room for a gig sometime.
I think David A. will win based on the young crowd of voters and how he did last night. I like him, however, I think David C. is a more mature singer and performer. I loved how he did his own version of things.
I like them both, and I think David C. will still have a career even if he isn't crowned the American Idol. We shall see!
Working weekends really stinks, and what's worse is when one has to work while the rest of the family is off. When DH used to work crime scenes, he would often be on call and get called out on holidays. We're so thankful we don't have that to worry about any more.
Remember we're OOT tomorrow (Sunday) so we don't get marked as "MIA". :)
