hello...i was on jeking's pleo and saw you were on too. you're in our prayers as you prepare for the meeting. we're looking forward to the feast. we're hoping you'll bring some of your family with you...hint...hint...wife, a daughter or two, and maybe a grand!
Hey, David. I was surprised to see you on here. I was not made aware that you were here. I was looking at Holly's and saw your name on there. Imagine my surprise! And where did you hold a meeting? Kansas City? Seems like I remember you were going to do that. Love you
my dad told me you had been and really enjoyed big bend. i've done quite a bit of hiking in different parks, but not too much backpacking. the pace becomes much slower and water becomes a huge factor. one day i drank 70-80 oz. of water (more than a camelbak will hold) and was still very dehydrated by the end of the day. i had originally planned to do the south rim trail, but when more than half of my water was gone, i decided i'd better start heading back.
Yeah, that's one reason I started that hike very early in the morning -- like at 5:00am. I was back well before noon. Water was not a problem. Of course, I wasn't carrying a backpack, either.
Jarod, did your Dad tell you that this was David's number one choice for a place to go on a honeymoon? Of course, Melissa nixed that, but it was David's idea of the greatest place to spend their first time together.
