Well, our Thanksgiving festivities are already over. Steven and I went to Fayetteville this past weekend because he is on call this week. It was a good trip, but we didn't do much since both of my parents are sick. I just hope we don't get what they have. But I am thankful for a short visit.
We went to a Bible study in Cookeville on Friday night that my dad was teaching. It was concerning prayer. We talked about how there are many different things to pray about but we sometimes don't praise God enough through prayer. I know I struggle with this. The study was a great reminder.
David Cook and Archuleta have just released their albums. My sweet husband got them for me as a surprise. We are very much enjoying those so far. Very interesting music.
I can't believe this year is already over. I am so thankful for all the major changes this year has brought to my life. I am incredibly blessed.
Everyone enjoy your turkey and pray for brethren in difficult, dangerous places.
ya, i've spent a couple days there and I haven't seen too much. apparently certain areas are worse than others. unfortunately almost all big cities are the same.
Heather, even those who look at you askance, or draw back -- next time will anticipate your hug, albeit stiff as a door. And then wonder of wonders, soon they actually are the first to hug you -- well, most of the time :)
Thanks! Where have you been the last few days? I was at LR yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I am scared about subbing somewhere on Friday...HALLOWEEN!! ahh
Sad days come to all of us. And they help us to recognize happy days. I hope today is happier for you. The apostle James reminds us that these trials we face on a daily basis (and sometimes all at once) are to be used to strengthen us spiritually. I pray you are stronger today. I know when I had a sad day it feels like tomorrow and tomorrow will be sad too. So hang in there dear daughter.
I am so thankful to announce that I passed my Praxis test!!! Whew! What a relief :) I even have a very good job possibility in October :) God is so good :)
My husband preached his first sermon on Sunday. God used him to communicate a wonderful message! I am so proud of him and his work!
His web design work is getting much busier! This is great news as well. His work is so good and professional looking, I can't help but be proud of him. If you need a website, I know just the guy to call.
We have been very interested in the Republican Convention. I really like listening to the speeches and hearing some interesting ideas that are being presented.
I have been working so much. The subbing jobs have been wonderful and getting a pay check has helped so much. God is so good.
Ah, I remember my husband's first efforts to preach. His knowledge of the Old Testament was so weak, that he used markers in his Bible to find the verses as he preached. He got so fed up, he got busy and...had me type them out for him. Ha! It wasn't long before he was doing extensive study in the OT and actually tried to outpace me. Ha!
that's what i thought! nikki and i had that conversation this afternoon about how they were related. tonight was a really good lesson, i hope to catch most of the rest of the week!
