I do indeed have a stuburn streak. I do value this trait. But must admit it sometimes backfires on me. I hate raking leaves. But I can't stand for the yard to look messy. I am accusing our trees of producing dead leaves. Fall has begun. I use the rider to corral the leaves you see. One must not accumulate too many leaves under the mower at any given time. Seems the mower heats up and dead, dry leaves cause a smoking effect. Otherwise known as fire. We shall be more careful in the future to avoid calling 911.
You like to vacuum but not rake. Interesting. Good to know about the mower, though. Thanks for conducting our scientific experiment! :) Sorry we missed you at Granny's. Wanna come to FL? T can show you how to feed the goats. He's really quite good at it. :)
Good food, good weather, good friends, pretty leaves falling, lots of pumpkins, clean clothes, two vacuums, two lovable cats, the cutest grandson in the world, lower gas prices, the BEST husband ever, wonderful family, two fantastic daughters, a dead slug (outside), screens on the windows, a very comfortable bed, and a God who loves me and has blessed me beyond deserving. Hugzzzzzzz you all.
Now if your windows are not open...you're missing out. And we are so thankful for the little rain we got last night. Now to get out the rakes. More blessings on the way. Start counting.
We went out tonight for a bit. So nice. We had quite a bit of rain last night but today was nice and sunny. And not humid! I actually had a pretty good hair day today!
I'm jealous. We're already in jackets, gloves, and hats. I do enjoy the changing of the leaves, though. Won't see too much of that in FL! As for change . . . the changes at 30 were enough for me, thank you!
2 hours from where? I guess I don't know where BG is. Note to self: Must buy map when in USA. Seriously, we'd love to see you. I just don't know where you're close to. We're flying through everywhere except Granny's house.
Yummmmmmmmmmm! We made 41 Quarts of applesauce out of the apples you brought. I made an applesauce cake from my grandmother's recipe. I took it to the pot luck and some cool whip to go with it. Sure is good even if it isn't chocolate.
it was nice seeing you today... sorry I didn't remember meeting you once before. if it was while I was pregnant, I'm sure you understand "pregnancy brain!!"
OK, Granny said that you're 2.5 hrs from her, so maybe that's what you were referring to. She said she'd call you (needed to anyway, for some other reason).
The tomatos that is. Boy was it a good year in the garden. We have lots of green ones picked to make green tomato relish. And that's it. Drove to Nashville this eve to celebrate Crystal's B day. Surprised her and was great. She is indeed growing in the tummy area. Not alot going on around here. Really enjoying the cooler temps. Washing the screens and putting on grandbaby/cat locks so we can open the windows. Oh the fresh air. Got to get up to Jackson"s orchard to get apples to make sauce. LOVE this time of the year. Say your prayers and count your blessings. Hugzzzzzzzzzz
We plan on being in BG in December for Nic's graduation. I'm sure Kennedy and Jaime will be with us. We'll have to see about getting the babies together to see how they get along. It's always important to have a good relationship with your future spouse, don't you think? :)
We have prayed for the safety of our fellow Americans in the south. Makes you really look at our material blessings also. We had a very hot and humid morning with not so nice strong winds. Then after awaking from the usual afternoon nap, well what a change. No wind and the temp had cooled on the pleasent side. Is now evening and around 68*. Nice. The Lord blesses us with more work to do. The tomatos are still coming on strong. Could have used a bit of that southern moisture here. And we now have many limbs to gather from the yard. Might be a good job for little Hunter tomorrow. He's closer to the ground than we are. :) So tonight's sermon was right at home once more. "Take responsibility for your actions." Sin is or will soon reveal itself. See Aaron's response in Exodus 32. Have a good week. Much love and hugs to all.
Sheesh....fine. I've got a few cookies left over. The next time we see Nic and Jess (which will be December, by the way) I'll send them home with a cookie just for you. Never let it be said, the Gardner's don't share. Even stale cookies.
You've been tagged. See my blog for more info. If you don't have time, no biggie. Just let me know. Oh, and I agree with Hunter picking up sticks. T has learned to "help Mommy" pick things off the floor. It's a game for him, and less bending for me!
Oops. Hit enter too soon. . . . I'm working on these hang-ups. My agenda isn't quite as detailed anymore. And T is allowed to put on my house shoes. I plead the 5th on the butter, though.
WHAT?????????????????????? How DARE you try to make me feel guilty about cookies when you were *this* close to getting some for yourself!!!! Serves you right. But I love you anyway.
