This past Saturday marked my 5th year living in Lincoln, Nebraska. I still love it as much as ever and I am truly blessed to be able to preach and work with the Christians here. There are so many different people who the Lord has helped make this a possibility. Who would have ever guessed that 5 years after I turned West on Nebraska highway and drove directly west into the setting sun, that I would have lived, loved, cried and laughed in so many different ways here. I pray the Lord will continue to watch over me and the brethren here.
I think that you should try and beat the length of my stay in NE! :) Thank God for the blessing He has poured onto Lincoln. Thank you for your love for the Lord and commitment to His people. Love you Nathan!
You have commited to more than just a job there in Lincoln and I'm proud to know you. I'm greatful that you have become such a blessing to the group there in Lincoln. You have the forsight and patience that many of us lack. Even though many of your close friends have moved on I know your influence is still being felt.
Hi! Yeah, that was funny :) I didn't make it, I found it on youtube. I don't think the movie looks good at all, which is why I liked this spoof so much :)
Wow! it has been 5 years huh? Eric heard back from the interview, he didn't get it. They hired someone they knew within the district there. thanks for all your information with the church there, we were really looking forward to the possibility of working with the group there.
The Brain: We're going to a place where the sun never sets, the size of your wallet matters, and actors and actresses slave all day.
Pinky: We're going to Denny's?
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain, but if you replace the P with an O, my name would be Oinky, wouldn't it?
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain... but do I really need 2 tongues?
Pinky: Egad. You astound me, Brain.
The Brain: That's a simple task, Pinky.
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so Brain, but if Jimmy cracked corn, and no one cares, why does he keep doing it?
The Brain: Behold, I can create fire from a little box.
Alan: So what?
Cannibal #1: Big deal.
Cannibal #2: Let's eat 'em.
The Brain: I can steal your souls and put them in this glass.
Alan: So what?
Cannibal #1: Big deal.
Cannibal #2: Let's eat 'em.
Pinky: I can make bubbles with my spit.
[the cannibals gasp and begin to bow]
The Brain: *Now* do you believe we were sent by your god?
Alan: Naw, that's just *really cool*.
The Brain: Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: Woof, oh, I'd have to say the odds of that are terribly slim, Brain.
The Brain: True.
Pinky: I mean, really, when have I ever been pondering what you've been pondering?
The Brain: To my knowledge, never.
Pinky: Exactly. So, what are the chances that this time, I'm pondering what you're pondering?
The Brain: Next to nil.
Pinky: Well, that's exactly what I'm thinking, too.
The Brain: Therefore, you ARE pondering what I'm pondering.
Pinky: Poit, I guess I am.
The Brain: Charlie Sheen, Ben Vereen, shrink to the size of a lima bean.
The Brain: We must head to a place where overweight, middle-aged people go to party and throw away money.
Pinky: Capitol Hill?
The Brain: Do you practice being dim or is it a natural talent?
Pinky: Oh practice Brain. All day, EVERYDAY!
They're Pinky and the Brain, They're Pinky and the Brain, One is a genius, the other's insane! They're labratory mice, their genes have been spliced. They're Pinky, they're Pinky and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain! =D
Loved that show. Also Rocko's Modern Life. Why'd they get rid of them? I guess these days kids just don't have taste. Missed you at NJ camp! Banjo Dan just couldn't wake us up like you did
thanks for speaking at IGH cofC a couple of Wed's ago. It was nice to meet you and you were very interesting to listen to! (so are Pinky and the Brain/thanx)
Hey Nathan. Not sure if you remember me, Sarah (vondracek). I was wanting to know some information about lincoln. It would probably be easier to email me turtle51499@yahoo.com We are wondering about the city & congregation. I know you've been there for a couple of years. Thanks for your help.
Hey there! I haven't talked to you in forever, but I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I have been reading the book, "Beneath the Cross" and we read your essay last night. We really enjoyed it -- it was well written and very thought provoking!
Just wanted to give you a heads up on the job front. They are just now getting around to the actual interviewing process. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for the prayers.
I have 585 Face book friends, Jady Copeland has 1020, I want to have more friends than him. If you're his friend, break up with him, if you aren't my friend, look me up and befriend me. Thank you very much...
Also, you should check out the book "beneath the cross" here... http://dewardpublishing.com/
Thanks again for your cooperation.
I am currently in Minnesota for the weekend, as is the other above mentioned person.

It's in the mail. Your order three weeks ago was a preorder—i.e., the book wasn't done at that point. It has, however, been completed, and all the preorders mailed.
I had a very fulfilling time at lectures this year and it was absolutely wonderful to see so many people!
There were a couple of kinks in the trip. One of them involved the "dying of my phone" (please, if you know the story, refrain from elaborating!) so, because of that I am going to need some phone numbers again. Feel free to email them to my pleonast name at gmail
It's amazing how handicapped I feel without my phone. I went to FC for 4 years with out a cell phone and I was perfectly happy, but I've been so used to that luxury that Monday was an incredibly uncomfortable day. It's funny how reliant we are on so many different types of technology. I hope I feel even more uncomfortable when I haven't spent enough time diligently praying.
I don't know if I can say there was a particular high light of this trip, because so many things went well. I am blessed with many brothers and sisters in Christ and I hope they know how much they mean to me.
i remember when my phone fell in a puddle and i realized i didnt actually know anyones phone numbers, just the name on my contacts list. I know carry church directions with me too, just in case.
well, Katie, Chelsea, and I know it would be a bit unfair for you point out that seeing us was actually the highlight of your trip, with so many others who were so excited to see you. It wouldn't be worth the hurt feelings :-)
Nathan, we had a great week at camp this year, but we really missed you! Specifically, your trumpet playing, morning devotionals, and amazing coffee. Hope you're doing well!
ummm...hello? do I know you? haha just my sad attempt at a guilt trip cause we all missed you so much in jersey. we woke up to the sound of a banjo.a BANJO! Hope you're doing well and i hope we can randomly meet somewhere sometime soon. I think it's your turn too :)
6 of my 13 items on my to-do list are crossed off my get done before Florida list!
I have checked in on-line for my flight, which leaves from Omaha tomorrow morning at 6:30 (Yikes!). Good times are in store I'm sure.
So far, my weight gaining program is going phenomenal. I wouldn't be surprised if I've already gained 2, nay 3 pounds since my last post.
I enjoyed the Super bowl last night. Watched it with a few people from church. Tom Petty's half time show was light years better than Prince was last year. Too bad the Patriots choked now they're the worst 18-1 team in the history of the NFL.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and if I get a chance to see you this week, that'll be great. If not, then you stink.

haha...hadn't thought about them being the worst 18-1 team...but very true! As much as I hate the Giants, I was glad to see them win. We watched it live on Monday morning! unfortunately our international feed of the game didn't have all the awesome commercials! What a gip!!
sounds like my flight back home-- left at 6:10 and arrived in Buffalo (finally) at 11:15. I was running on 3 hrs of sleep maximum, and then I found out that my dad is in the hospital. It's been a stressful weekend.
