How do you express your thankfulness towards the things or people that you are thankful for? For the past couple of years before our thanksgiving meal every person who was going to eat had to say one thing they were thankful for. The typical answers (my parents, this food, my home, etc.) have all been said, which is great! You should be very thankful for those things. Unlike most people I know, I actually take a week or so just thinking about what I am going to say. I can come up with freedom of religion and speech, good health, sunrises & sunsets. And there are the funnier ones such as polite drivers and whipped cream... Jonathan! hehe. But, then I got to thinking. Why do I spend a week to figure out what I am thankful for?
my parents
As I sit typing this I can see plenty of things I am thankful for without thinking, my computer, a phone, our Seinfeld collection and even the chair I am sitting in. I would have none of those things if it weren’t for my parents. Lately I have really started to notice how much they do for me. Picking me up twice after I had gotten home from San Marcos last week, buying me an awesome new pair of pants, a pair of pants i didn’t even need. They built this house so me amd my sister wouldn’t have to share and in my room I have a chair, bed, side table, dresser, tv, and vanity. Don’t even get me started about my closet :) my room is only painted right now because at 9:00 pm one day I had the sudden urge to give my room some color. And they were there to take me where ever I needed to go. They come home after a long day of work to cook and clean and do whatever I need them to do. I am hardly even asked to help out. All I can say is thank you. Thank you mom and dad for the greatest 16 years I could have asked for. Thank you for doing and going beyond the limit just so I can have the best of the best. You have outdone yourselves… but please don’t stop :) I only get you for 2 ½ more years. We are going to make these the greatest years ever! I love you two!
my sister
When I was younger we shared a room. That was disastrous most of the time. But ever since we have had our own room, we have gotten to be really close. I wouldn’t be able to survive without her. We always make it fun with whatever we are out doing. Eating potato skins, jamming out to Disney music, searching for buttons, and even ganging up on Jonathan sometimes (yes mom we do… just not on the big things) is when i have the most fun. You aren’t just my sister, you’re my friend. Thank you for that :). You have always had my back and always will. I love you lucy!
my brothers
I have been very blessed with two pretty awesome brothers. Josh and I can make anything fun. He is always willing to answer my phone calls if I need him, and he has done that before. No matter if he has homework or whatever, he finds a way to take five minutes out of his life to talk to me. I really appreciate that. Jonathan… well we don’t always get along, but when we do. It is like we are best friends. We can laugh all day and he brings a smile to my face a lot. Thank you Jonathan. I love both of my brothers very very much!
Ellen
He was using his head when he started to date her. My thanks go out to you Ellen. You light up my brother’s life and we all love you, too. You taught me and my sister how to play snaps and let me tell you, we have more fun with that than what you can imagine! You are my role model, the woman that I look up to for guidance, help and advice when I need it. You are there for me and I really appreciate that. Even though it isn’t official (yet :) you are my sister, and I love you.
corpus family
My family in corpus is just that, my family. There is never a dull moment when I am with any of them. They are always curious about who any of us kids may be talking two, but it’s mainly just me and mary kathryn now. But, it isn’t being nosey, they are just protective and I love that. They always have my back and are kind enough to take any of us in, even if we decide to surprise them with a trip. If we did surprise them, then I know that they would go out of their way, even if it means breaking some of their plans, to come be with us. They are the greatest family anybody in the world could ask for. I love you all, and I will see you in a couple of weeks!
We shouldn’t take a week to figure out what we are thankful for because if you can think of something you are thankful for in 2 seconds then you really have missed it. Material things shouldn’t be the center of our thanks. Remember that God gave his one and only son to save US! He didn’t have to, and I am very sure that it was extremely hard to give him, just like how Abraham struggled with offering Isaac, but God did give Christ. The best way we can thank both of them would be to follow them, and live a Christian life as we all should. That’s all that they ask for. Count you blessings everyday so you will never forget how lucky you really are. I send my thanks out to every single one of you. If you weren’t the way that you are right now then nobody else would be the same. We may not be the bestest friends and we may be the closest buddies ever, but despite that, you all still mean the world to me. You are all my friends, my family. Thanks for being there for not only me, but for everybody that you are there for.
i'm actually not sure. it was kind of an odd last name. but, her friend accidentally called her by her maiden name for so long...until she realized that she had a different last name. so i'm actually not sure..it started with a "c" :)
sitting by the unlit fire place, drinking egg nog, playing dominos, eating cherry turnovers, talking about whip cream stuck on fingers :) and gophers, and on top off all of that he is the oldmaid. welcome home :)
the whole family is here. there's no place like home :) this is what the holidays are all about...and i love it :)

ok well the volleyball game was today. they lost in 4 games. its not first but coming in second when this team wasnt even expected to really even get to regionals much less out of district, they ended up showing everybody what for. so congrats to all of them!
but the greatest week of football is starting tonight with
tech vs. ou
once again, wreck em tech!
im actually in a compitition with a couple of guys to see who watches the most football this week. i guess they dont know me well enough to know how much i watch... theyre both going down!
