A lot of you may know my older sister Jenny, and my brother Jesse, but not as many know my oldest sister, Laura. She didn't do the FC or camp thing and is a little more quiet then the rest of us. Anyway if you don't know her, you are definately missing out. We were lucky enough to have her visit us last week. She came to spend halloween with the kids and stayed the whole next week to spoil me and the boys. It was great. She helped take care of the boys, made yummy meals for us, fixed me a delicious cake and my favorite meal for my birthday, and helped me try to keep the house clean. Since I know she lurks around on Pleonast from time to time, I thought I'd publicly thank her. Thanks Laura! We love you!
I've had Gma up and she spent a little time in the kitchen also. Glad y'all had a good time together. Can you send me the pic you took of Elijah and I?
You have such a nice sister. Happy Late Birthday by the way. Glad you were able to get spoiled a little and have some help with the boys. I appreciate her too! She is a great help to me when David has to work through services and I enjoy having a friend to do things with that doesn't mind a little rowdy companionship from my two:)
Glad you had a good birthday. Aren't sisters the greatest?! What day is your b-day? We celebrated Hannah's on the 9th. If I remember correctly, aren't you the 7th?
would you like to use Isaac's 3T black velvet jacket(just like Caden's) for Elijah? I got it last winter. I put it on Isaac this morning and his arms were way too long.
I will try to bring it to church this week. Jonas is getting better but his personality is very crazy, hopefully from the drugs. Is Micah feeling better?
Here are some pictures of us enjoying the all too brief fall weather. It went by way too fast. Wouldn't it be nice if fall could linger around for at least two months. There are so many fun places to go with kids around here but too little time! We went to a place called Stades's farm a couple of times. The first time it was so hot it didn't even seem like fall and the second time we went we froze! Elijah who has always been obsessed w/ animals and couldn't wait to go to the petting zoo at the farm and feed the animals acted scared of them. Micah on the other hand loved his first up close encounter with animals.
The first pictures show us on a walk. We forgot Elijah's jacket so he wore Clint's. He looked pretty funny running in it.
Another thing that goes too fast is how my boys keep growing. Isn't it strange how you love to see them growing and learning more but at the same time you want to keep them just the way they are forever. At any rate I am very thankful that God has blessed me with my two sweet boys (actually, 3 sweet boys, can't leave out Daddy!) and I am trying to appreciate every moment with them.
Great pictures. We saw the Tolbers last weekend and they are going to be in Chicago late December. We talked about getting together with them and your family. We will keep in contact about that.
Stade's looks like a lot of fun. Is it similar to Jackson's? We went there Sunday with the boys and Derek and Amber. Our boys have the skeleton shirts too! Aren't brothers awesome? They look so happy. Have fun with Laura this weekend.
Love the pictures! The only word to describe Micah's hair: awesome. I remember visiting that area in "Spring" and it was freezing! How long will you guys be in BG for Turkey Day? We'll be in Danville.
awww...im ready to come see yall again! yeah, I thought of the 'fly by' thing too, but J always makes fun of me for making corny jokes, so I decided to leave it out and let others say it instead of me :) love ya!
I pulled a sweater out of my closet just now and thought, "Where did that come from?" I didn't remember ever having worn it or seen it-it didn't even smell like something of mine. Then a smile spread across my face because I remembered that it was from my dear, beautiful friend, Rachel. I know you said it was one of your favorites, so I don't mean to make you miss it, but I love the turtleneck black sweater. Even more because it makes me think of you. You made me smile today. Thank you!
#1- forgot about how picky of an eater you are. Just wait until Elijah starts trying to tell you why you need to eat your veggies. Isaac is still working on convincing me to drink milk, yuck! Not lady like???:) Also, totally with you on the late night driving. These 8 just reminded me of son of the reasons we miss you in BG.
I'm addicted to coupons and rarely pay full price for anything.. so I understand your addiction!
I understand feeling like an old lady.. I'm ok with driving, but I'm ready for bed most nights by 8:30 or 9. Plus I'd rather hang out with people 3 or 4x's my age because I feel like I relate more with them (I'm an old lady in my body I think)...
I'm trying to do better about eating my veggies. It's hard sometimes! And #8...u probably know that one of my fave FC memories is when the Spring Queen snuck out to go mudsliding
Hey Rachel:) Candace is coming in tomorrow to take my place for a few days. Then when she leaves I am going to come back. We are trying to work in shifts:) Cassy just had a baby last Friday, so she can't help much. Mom is limited in what she can do, so I have been staying the night with him. Thanks for the prayers:)
we didn't get any pics of us 2 :( All we have is our big camera and we hate asking other ppl to take pics of us with it bc they get all nervous and we don't have a wide angle lens so they have to go a mile away from us. I wish we would have at least remembered to use our camera phones. didn't even think of that till now! I do have a couple pics of that night with Flat Stanley in them. A lil girl from church made one for school so we have him now. Have you heard of him before?
Yes, I really did enjoy it! After we ate, we ended up going to see Fireproof. very clean movie with lots of moral thoughts, so I enjoyed that part of it. The acting was quite terrible but we got some laughs out of that part of it anyway.
I'm going to copy David and say if you want to see some photos of what my peeps and I did in Chicago this week, here is the link.
Maybe I'll make every other post include pictures of Deborah and Jamie. I must be obsessed with them!
Yea, they're great. I also saw how you stole my 'peeps' reference but at least you gave me credit. Thanks for letting me crash there again. Twice in one year--whuda thunkit (translated-- who would have thunk it... translated Who would have thought that it would happen)?
thank you!! i miss you sooo much!!! i remember when i was 4 or 5 and we were at your house, and you showed me a little treasure chest with a couple of your teeth in it, and i wouldn't believe you that it was your teeth... i don't know if you remember that or not... but it cracks me up when i think about it
do you have an e-mail address for uncle carl and aunt renee? i would love to get back into contact with them... i miss those little ones sooo badly... tears well up in my eyes thinking about them... i imagine they have grown sooo much!!
A couple of funny Elijah things from tonight:
So Elijah told Clint and I about his friend Alice that lives down the street. Only there is no Alice and I cannot think where he would have even heard that name before. Apparantly they like to ride bikes together and play with Micah. I guess I need to keep a better eye on my kids so I know who their friends are!
Clint changed Micah's diaper tonight and I asked if he put some cream on his bottom, so Elijah says, "You put whipped cream on Micah??"
And finally the Elijah moment that made my day was when he climbed into my bed this morning still half asleep and said with a sweet smile,"I love you, Mommy" and went back to sleep with his arm tucked under me. Now, that is a nice way to wake up!
Okay, now I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about Elijah- sorry.
we started cereal at 4 months and she didn't seem too interested the first few times, but once she got the hang of eating from a spoon, she liked it. We don't give her cereal every day, but most days she has it. Micah is about a month younger than Caitlyn, right?
i'm glad it's not just my little one that keeps getting sick; makes me feel like i'm doing something wrong! your boys are so sweet. i hope micah gets all better soon!
I think about you every time I see a garage sale now. I wish they were more abundant around here though. I should keep you on speed dial to consult you on prices when I go shopping.
i worked, went shopping on the way home, then Jamie took me to a really cool restaurant in SF that his boss took him to a couple months ago. I got Peking Duck! (before they brought it J told me they set the duck's beak on the table beside the plate. # 1--Ducks have bills, not beaks haha # 2--they don't really do that)
Ditto! We need to meet in the middle or work out another weekend soon. I heard that the window saga continues. Maybe when the new piece comes in we can work it out to make it over.
I just use what Micah puts in his hair. I think it's a suave gel? I should go look. It's nothing special. It does make it look so cute! Your boys are adorable. I love your family picture up there in the corner!
