...was crawling on the floor playing, waiting for her nap, while I finished something up on the computer. I turned around to see her put her head down on the floor, shut her eyes, and drift off to sleep...
Well, our baby is turning into a little girl right before our very eyes. This past month especially has been full of tons of leaps toward independence, including personal mobility and improved self-feeding skills. Many times Eden will refuse to be spoon-fed anything until she's been allowed to feed herself a few bites first. Shortly after Eden figured out army-crawling, she perfected bottom-scooting. As it is easier to play sitting than laying on her tummy, her most common method of transportation now involves leaning forward while sitting on her bottom and pulling herself forward with her hands (no leg-propulsion necessary!). She has certainly developed into such a fun baby to be around, as she is perfectly happy to have extended periods of solitary play, but still loves to play with us as well. We continously thank God for this little blessing.
What a sweetie! I can hardly believe it's been a year already. CJ saw her crossed feet and thought it was a picture of her. She looks like so much fun!
From what the state police told us at work, the call went in the the BG police that shots were fired. So that went directly to WKU police...hence the text message alert that shots were fired. It was a carry over fight from Saturday night that started back up at south campus and then worked its way to the bottom of the hill. 5 guys were taken in for questioning but not arrested.
I have the perfect name for the new baby. Name him after his gramma Collier!?!?! Male - Pronounced phonetically (Mollie) Isn't that perfect? Aaron smiled. I think he knows it is the right name but he lacks the courage. Be there for him Becca. Start the chant Mal-E Mal-E Mal-E!!! He will be the greatest soccer player ever known and people will shout his name, a line of masculine care products, clothing distictly ... Male.
It was so nice to see you all, too! I know I wasn't a very good conversationalist/company after supper was over due to feeling so poorly...I hope I didn't share any germs with you!
I like that train game; I hope I can find it for us, eventually. Thank you for the link to the recipie; that soup was awesome! But the best part of the visit, to me, was the opportunity to sit and talk during supper, about spiritual matters. That's always encouraging, and it makes me very thankful to have friends like you and Philip who care about the Truth, as well. I treasure friends like you. :)
Philip was on his way home for lunch and there were police cars directing traffic everywhere so he turned around and came home the long way. As we've since found out, there are reports of a shooting at Pearce Ford Tower (one of the dorms) here at Western Kentucky U. Whether or not shots were actually fired is still unconfirmed. There are also reports of a gunman at the South campus. There are police everywhere and it's being evacuated.
This has all gone down in the last couple hours so news is very limited.
