So, Roree and I were driving home from services and I decided to drive around the new housing that’s going up right near our home. Many of the streets have just opened up in the last couple of weeks. I started noticing that the street names were last names. Then, I realized that the streets were named after recent Iraq casualties when I saw one I recognized. It was Tsue. I knew him in Florida when he was going to EOD school. I’m glad to see that he’s been honored.
"Marine Staff Sgt. Daniel A. Tsue
Daniel A. Tsue had always been smart. "At an early age, he delighted his grandfather by solving math equations in his head quicker than it could be written out," said Joan Murata, Tsue's aunt.
Tsue, 27, of Honolulu, was killed Nov. 1 (2005) from a bomb blast near Ramadi. He was assigned to Camp Pendleton.
A 1996 high school graduate, Tsue aced his college entrance exam and the Marine Corps recruited him after just one semester at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
He planned on doing a consecutive tour in Iraq, explaining in an e-mail to his family, "I figure since I'm single, I may as well stay out here and save some married guy from having to leave his family for six months."
One of Tsue's habits after a mission was to take off his boots and put on slippers (flip-flops). "He always brought a piece of Hawaii with him," said Gunnery Sgt. Jose Soto."

That is sad,(especially when you knew him) but I am also glad that they are being honored. Wow, Timothy Foster, only 20 days. We are so greatful for all of the people who fight and keep us safe.
It went really well. She had four puppy friends over. They had cake, and Allie got presents. All the puppies played together, and the adults had spaghetti dinner. (We had a Lady and teh Tramp theme). I took some good pictures. I'll have to put them up soon.
Here's our little "Sleeping Booty"/ Brier Rose / Princess Aurora
In the movie Enchanted Giselle sings in the forest much like Sleeping Beauty does. Well, in Enchanted a troll storms up to Giselle and says, “I eat you now!”
I was scolding Roree for something using a deep angry voice. So, she looked up and mocked my voice by saying in her own deep voice, “I eat you now!” Talk about an all time talk back.
Snort! Laugh!! I shouldn't laugh at that, but hearing that come from that sweet little face makes me laugh!
She is beautiful and you did a wonderful job on her outfit. Also, we got Maddie's dress yesterday. She loves it and it fits so well. She wore it last night to our gospel meeting.
Josh was nice enough to carve a pumpkin for us just before he left!
No, they’re not enjoying our new sofa. They’re in Pier 1. Hee Hee!
Speaking of Pier 1; we went there today and Roree decided to point out some Christmas characters. They were "Noah" (Santa), "nose man" (snowman), and "cow" (reindeer).
Hi, this is Lori (a friend of Christy). I just wanted to tell you what a GREAT job you did on Maddie's dress!! She had it on tonight and it was BEAUTIFUL!
So, the deed is done. Josh Re-enlisted for another four more years yesterday. I’ve been playing with sewing. Here’s an American Girl dress that I made tonight.
Roree has been having fun at Gymboree and is growing up fast. She’s now old enough to want to play “baby” as a game.
She’s been saying cute things like, “goodnight flowers.” We usually get the mail just before she goes to bed and she kisses the flowers she sees along the way. One of her favorite books lately is “Goodnight Moon.” But, the biggest news is that Roree went pee pee in the potty for the first time today. She went once in her potty chair and then later she sat on the big toilet by herself and called out to me mid-stream to let me know that she was going pee pee. Today Roree made me laugh when she brought her stuffed dog along with a towel to the real bathtub and gave him a play bath. When the dog was done with his bath she diapered him.
P.S. If it has been or will be your birthday. I love you but, I'm so sorry I'm running late with cards ect.
The pictures of Roree are so cute. I love the one of her in the play tube. You are getting to be quite a seamstress. Now you chould try something easier like making Roree a dress!! Dolls are much tinier and harder.
Thanks for asking! I am actually not sure how they are selling. I plan to stop by the shop today and see. It may take a little while to get the word out, but I know I sold a lot at our garage sale, so there is definitely a market for them.
