I was working at the polls for the first 3 hrs & plan to go back shortly to help out some more - the lines were the longest I've ever seen on Election Day. It is awesome that more and more people are taking an interest and exercising this very special right (& I say, responsibility) we have in this blessed country!
Whatever you do, please do not forget to vote today and say a prayer of thanks that we can do that in this country!

Hey... sorry this has been a long time coming.... Thanks for the picture of mom and dad's wedding. No, I didn't have the picture, so thank you for sending me a copy. And we got Lydia's birthday present, too... she loves the little wallet. I put some pennies in it for her, and she loves just taking them out and putting them back in. This is my absolute favorite holiday and I thank God for the liberties we enjoy in this wonderful country. I pray for the protection of all our troops serving on behalf of our country and countrymen. My husband has two sons in Iraq and we pray that they remain safe and well.
We are headed out of state for a family reunion and taking my FIL with us so he can see family that he has not seen in years, including his 92 yr old brother. Hopefully the trip will not be too hard on him and we will have a good trip.
Hey! We got the package on Saturday! Thank you so much! Those dresses are adorable! Natalie LOVED the dress with Cinderella on it. She wanted to wear it immediately, and then to church the next day. I don't have matching dresses for the girls right now, so I'm totally excited to have something that matches. Thanks again!
You know how when something bad happens, you tell 10 people as opposed to when something good happens, you don't quite tell as many people? Well, I'm the most upset I've been with a for-profit business so I'm telling my 10+ people! We have a couple of credit cards with National City. Well a few months ago, they raised the interest rate on one of the credit cards, we refused the increase in rates & closed the account. Now, the other card's rate went up so I called to discuss it. They refused to return it to what it was and would not allow us to refuse the change in terms by claiming we were notified months ago of the pending increase. I never received any written notice of the change nor is there an electronic notice in our online banking like should be when a change in terms is mailed out. So I've closed that card and I am closing our checking and savings account and transferring to a new bank. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and our state's Attorney General's Office and I'm strongly urging everyone I know NOT to do business with National City!
Yes, I did. Unfortunately, he said it sounds pretty normal for this age. He said he thinks it's more of a habit she's gotten herself into. I guess I'm glad there's no medical explanation for it, but I was hoping for something a little more profound. Oh well... I guess she'll eventually grow out of it.
