We ( Tricia, Meg & I) were out yesterday for a litte while. I had to leave and go take someone who couldn't drive on an errand. So they stayed out longer. We first did the important stuff...fed our faces at Panera Bread. Yum!!
I heard on the radio that the Target store ( we only have one) was a mob scene. I stayed away from there and Walmart. They were also reporting on the radio that Walmart cleared out by 9am.
I thought it was amusing that this news is newsworthy!
Today, I am going out to look and not buy much with Cindy and Tricia.
Nine of us went shopping on Friday. We had a really fun time. We left home at 7:30 a.m. and arrived back home at 5:00 p.m. We had 9 of us shopping together this year. It's also our family tradition to eat at Olive Garden for a late lunch. Yummm!
I am looking forward to it even though it makes alot more cooking. Since my girls have gotten older it is so much easier because they know how to make all the family favorites too.
Danielle and Nathan will not be able to come due to Danielle working but we all will have more time at Christmas together because they went to Texas this week to see Nathan's famiy.
I will have two extra friends visiting. Tricia's friend Meghan and Micah. So it will be so great to have some noise in the house.
I have been going to the Chiropractor for the last 2 weeks, 2 times a week. It has helped with my initial problem but I sure hate all the muscle spasms I have to get thru with the treatment.
I also went back to the Orthopedice doctor about my left knee. This is the one I had surgery on. I have been experiencing pain on another side of this knee when I walk. I saw the PA and he thought it is my ACL inflamed. I feel a wretched pulling pain when I walk or stay on my feet for long. So x-rays were taken and the good news is: my kneecap is where it is suppose to be! (That was part of my surgery. A lateral release to move the kneecap back in the right position.) So, I have been given a creme to apply to area that is in the Celebrex family. I am hopeing in 4 weeks I do not go back to the Orthopedic. If I do, then it is a shot of Cortisonr in the joint closet to the ACL. The PA really does not think that is the problem.
Now, that you all are bored stiff... I will quit writing. :-)
Sorry about your knee! Maybe it's just trying to get used to all things being in the right position. I hope the cream helps. Nick and Katie should be here next Tuesday night and Jacob and Ellen by Wednesday night after Bible study. Your Turkey Day looks like fun!
You are not boring us at all! Sorry about your knee problems. Sure hope your knee gets back to normal real soon. I messed up my left shoulder awhile back. I have been to several different Chiropractors, because none of them have been able to help me. However, time itself has helped a lot.
Ah man, 13th and 14th. Graduation day on the 13th and then 14th we are having A's mentor and his wife for dinner. So count me out. Tell her not to bother wasting a stamp since I won't be able to go. All is good, I am having an ornament exchange for work.
my dress for the wedding. I figured out how to put it there, but
it isn't a very big picture. Look in my room for a bigger
picture. It shows off the beading.
I did not mention the best part. The price!!! I got it on sale at Dillards. I still am trying to peel the sticker off to see the original price, but the sticker is sticking to all the prices. So I can not see. I am so glad that I do not have to look anymore for a dress. Now to get shoes to match and jewelry. Guys have it so easy! The right suit, shirt, tie .
beautiful! hey, i will be in wilmington this weekend, but they already had gotten housing for me at the hotel - but i will call you anyway, at least we'll see each other at worship! thanks love emily
That is pretty. I don't think you need a necklace with it. It could distract from the pretty beading. I think a pair of water pearl earrings would look good. When you find your shoes, remember to wear them around for a bit so you won't have the same problem as last time. Good luck!!!
get away from work. My Mother has pointed out that I do not really get away from my work. I don't because of expecting calls on my cell phone. So I did not bring my work computer and forgot I had a job for 4 days.
My girls and I were able to spend some quality time togehter. Danielle and I went shopping and found the "dress" for the wedding. I helped Tricia take care of her 2 children she nannys. They are real sweet and cute!
I also was able to attend 1000 Voices. There were over 500 people there! Some of the songleaders were: Jay Connor, Micheal Stringer, Scott Wyatt, Jamie Sloan etc. We sang the Greatest Command 4 times because that was the theme. We also sang some new Glenda Barnhart Schales songs. I saw some new and old friends. I had someone come up to me from FC days and say do you remember me..Lynette Harrison. Overall, it was a wonderful tiring time, but I did learn some new hymns that we can teach the congregation here in Wilmngton.
If it's still ok, I'm definitely planning to come for Thanksgiving now! I'll probably leave right after Bible study on Wed. night and get there at 11 or so, and I can stay through Sunday or Monday.
My job required a co-worker and I to drive out to the country to interview. 40 miles later..WHEN we finally found the house, after driving up and down a road with a sign that says drive instead of road and going up to complete strangers and asking ...is that such and such house. We found the house.
The house had one car sitting there. I banged on the front door and then the side door. My co-worker 10 minutes later repeats the same actions. NO one was home.
Here comes the part I will not forget. We sat there with the car windows down smelling the sweet aroma of cow manure spread out on the field next door to the house.
Needless to say, I am a city slicker. I also get to repeat the adventure again tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully with better results of the people being at home. :-) I also will watch where I put my number 9 1/2's as I walk around.
Cow manure is not as bad as pig manure. And I'm not sure I have smelled anything worse than when we were in Switzerland and farmers were spreading sheep manure on the hillsides. GAG! Try enjoying the Alpine scenery with that smell rolling in through the car vents.
I hate that you had to drive all the way out there and then no one was home, did they not realize you were coming? I sometimes get to smell the fragrent aroma of fish and cow manure.
