I celebrated THE FOURTH by going to a parade and short program in Downtown Crockett this morning, eating a Reuben sandwich at the Moosehead Cafe, and going to Walmart. Then Peewee and I really celebrated by taking a nap. My cellphone woke me up but Peewee is still asleep.

I am enjoying this RV park, although it is a little too primative in some ways. All the sites are dirt and the drive ways are gravel. The TV cable is poor but at least the WiFi continues to be excellent. There is a little restaurant here. It is very clean and has a back porch that overlooks the lake. I ate lunch there yesterday and sat and watched the lake. What I had was very good.

Gotta run now. My tiller is on my yellow trailer just outside my door and I need to take it to the storage building.

Oh yes, I have a slab! It was poured this morning. Framing is set to begin in a day or so.

I'm still having to make regular trips back to Lufkin for various things. I have everything out of the house but there is much flotsam and jetsam outside that needs to be dealt with.

The building company's project manager and I staked out the peremeter of the slab this afternoon. The electrician came and set the temporary meter pole. Then came the man who will do the actual site preparation and concrete work. When the project manager asked him when he would start, he replied, "Tomorrow." If this be the case, then we should have a slab poured within ten working days.

I hope to take my camper to Houston County Lake tomorrow (6/24) and will probably stay in it tomorrow night. I'll come back here and meet the movers on Wednesday morning.

The campground at the lake has WiFi so I should be able to keep up with my Pleo friends via my laptop with no difficulties.

There are still a few odds and ends to pack, as I sit here at the computer. So... BYE..........
