My parents had been missing Peachy (a golden retriever we had for 14 years, that was 15 years old before they put her down for her really bad arthritis and just b/c her body was deteriorating so much of old age) so much and wanted another one. Only, my dad is allergic to pet dander, so he was searching the internet for dogs that are cute but that don't shed. Finally he found the dog he thought was most ideal... A golden doodle is a mix of a golden retriever and a standard poodle, so they're curly haired (like poodles) but look just like golden retrievers. Almost 3 weeks ago, Dad, Mom and I went to look at goldendoodles over the mountain. An amish man breeds them and labradoodles and he was selling them for a good price. Well... this is the result of that trip...:
Here is Zora Adora (female--Dad came up w/ the name, and it was the only one we all agreed on :)):
She was born September 5, 2008 and as of tomorrow (November 28) she will be 12 weeks old! :) Ain't she adorable? ;)

Welp... My darling sister squared and brother-in-law (and Aslan :)) made it to Germany safely. I found out Wednesday after work that I will be an aunt... Stacey is pregnant! Not sure when the baby is due (I'm now being told she's due in July sometime), or when it was conceived, all I know is they are very excited and happy! I haven't even been able to talk to them since they've gotten to Germany b/c of the 6 hour time difference. Please pray w/ me for them and the baby! :) Thank you!
As far as my preparation for moving to Texas... 7 weeks until P.J. comes here to help me pack, the Lord willing! Less than 2 months! That is pure craziness, but in the best way, knowing that we'll never leave each other again after we reunite this time, the Lord willing. :) I'm in the search of finding a job in the medical billing/coding field down there, and P.J. told me I'll be staying w/ his grandma when I get there, which I'm thrilled about! She's such a sweetheart, and I know it will be beneficial for both me and her.

Who?: The disciples who meet w/ the Shippensburg church of Christ, but EVERYONE and ANYONE who wishes to learn more about the infallible word of God is invited. :)
What?: Gospel meeting w/ John A. Humphries. He will be presenting "Lessons of Great Value from the book of Luke" throughout the week, the Lord willing.
Where?: The building where the Shippensburg church of Christ meets on 412 East King Street, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257. (**Please feel free to leave a comment if you want directions and I'll give you my cell number and/or e-mail, whichever you prefer.**)
When?: September 14-19. We meet Sunday at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and weekdays at 7:30 PM.
Why?: To "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ". (2 Pet. 3:18)
We hope you are able to join us in learning more of His will for us as well as encourage each other to do our best in service to our King. :) |
