Some have asked for a long time to see a picture of our baby. Unlike some dogs, he is only allowed on the bed when "his" blanket is down, and by invitation!
It is early early Friday morning, so I take the liberty of mentioning the last day in this Thankful Week. NOT that I will discontinue my thanks to God, but it was the last of the "focussed" days.
Today's topic of thanks is Jesus!
I am sure that you all have many good thoughts, and I would like to hear them... Meanwhile, I am going to post my list here from this week. By doing so, I am not wishing for you to not comment here... quite the opposite. Please share!

The BIBLE
That God gave us a guide, to teach us about Him, that though we should be able to know of Him through the creation, that was not all He gave us! He truly allowed His people to understand exactly what He wants, and to have a relationship with Him… that He WANTS a relationship with us. We would not know this without His word!
THE CHURCH
That God designed a way for us to stay connected to Him – through each other.
The individual members of the body of Christ, that each serve Him in their own important ways, and who love us, and we love
That we can learn and grow from each other
We have strength and support to stay on the path.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
All loved ones near and far - my local brethren who are dear
Mom
Dad, All My sisters
Olivia, Greg And Kristine
Chris, My Friends in RI
Ericha, Aunt Phyllis
Ben, Lynda
Those relatives who have gone on before us who have helped us on our journey
Nana
Aunt Jane
Grandma and Grandpa (dad's side)
Chris
Erich
JESUS
That He lived here on earth and understands us
The He understood the Father enough to obey Him, to WANT a relationship with Him, and seek that, even in His busiest times. It teaches us about how special God is, if even the Son of God wanted and needed that relationship with Him, how much more so do we?
He taught us what God wants - we are not left floundering.
And I am thankful for you! I love you. Happy Thanksgiving my dear friend. MMMMM- smelling the first smells of my turkey right now as I write this.
By the way, Anaja and I love the picture of your doggie in the corner. Wish that your doggie could meet my doggie.
What part of your life has been blessed by the church?
Yesterday's was harder to make a list, but one thing that I specifically thanked God for was that He did not leave us wondering and guessing. The Bible clearly states that because His attributes, divine nature, etc., can be clearly seen through
nature, they are without an excuse! (paraphrase) He did not leave us without a plan, or a guidebook. This book helps us know of His love, even more. It shows us the plan of salvation, which we could hardly understand without it being explained to us.
The Bible has been my life's guide. While I have not lived it as perfectly as I have wished, to the extent that I am what I am, I owe to the Scriptures, His holy Word! It is an amazing thing that He cared enough for us to allow it all to be fully explained - things in which even angels longed to look!
Today's area of thanksgiving, as challenged by our preacher, is
The BIBLE
What parts of the Bible are you grateful for? What about God's Word moves you to thank Him?
BTW, thank you for yesterday's comments. Some of those things I had not thought of when I made my list. It was an extra-special thing to thank Him for those things and to think of you as well.
For instance, I did think of the warm sun! That was definitely on my list... but I had forgotten to think to thank Him for the rain! Of course, without rain, we have trouble, so the rain is a blessing! Thank you for keeping me balanced!
On Saturday, I will share my lists from each day. For now, please share your thoughts on the above!
Our preacher gave us a challenge to speak prayers JUST of thanksgiving to God this week, and not to ask God for ANYTHING while we do it.
Today, he challenged us to thank God for His creation.
What are some attributes of creation that YOU are thankful for?
I will be thanking God for these things today, so I will include any items listed here that I have not thought of as I thank Him today. Thank you for sharing!
We have a big tree in our back yard that our girls play on and under and swing from. It's a great tree! We also have lots of trees in our front yard. We are thankful for these trees. They are shade and are beautiful to look at and some of them provide walnuts.
...stars, stars, stars, billions of stars, trillions of stars, galaxies of stars, billions of galaxies of stars, planets, comets, asteroids, black holes, neutron stars, pulsars, ... did I say billions of galaxies, and trillions of stars!!
I find it fascinating how technology has changed us -- and we learn yet another way to try and stay connected through God's word. I give thanks to our God for you.
