So Rhett left about a week and a half ago for Washington DC. When asked at church if it's hard him being gone that long I just tell them he's been gone longer than that before and that's tough. At least he has work and will be home Tuesday night.
To why my life is a re-run
Here's my schedule for a day maybe with a few minor differences:
~wake up
~take Shelby out first then Scotty
~Put food in the their bowls
~SIT here for 5 minutes while I watch them eat (sometimes even have to point to the bowl for Shelby tho she knows it's there)
~Once they are done I go upstairs and shower
~Get ready for work
~Work
~Come home and do the same dog routine again.
~Maybe make dinner.
~Watch a tv program I recorded maybe
~Read my book
~Go to sleep.
That's pretty much my life when Rhett's gone. For some reason the dogs feel like they are going to miss something if I don't sit down while they eat so I have to sit here and wait for them to finish. But it's good to have them on a schedule. Your supposed to have your dogs on a eating schedule technically, at least that's what I was told. You give them like 15 minutes to eat and if they dont you take it away. It's just crazy how I have to be sitting on the couch for them to stop and eat. Crazy!
So, I've been working about 36 hours a week or so. Not too bad. Saturday I worked a really long day.
This girl at work asked me to work her Sunday shift over a week ago and I agreed cause I really need the hours and $ with the holidays coming up. So then she text's me the Wed befoe or something like that and says "I have a wedding on Saturday can you switch me and I'll work Sunday?" So, I told her that was fine but clarified that this was the Sunday I picked up for her. She said she knew and it was fine she'll work it.
Sooooo, she text's me Friday when I'm at work and says "I got a problem. I can't work Sunday, switch me back?" at this point I really don't care but when you wait til the day before to tell me, ummm no. So I said I'm sorry I have plans. Which is not a lie, I had plans to go to church and I did! So she comes in an hour later that night calling anyone and everyone not working to see if they would work. I don't know if she got it picked up or not but now when I asked if she would switch she said no. lol.
See what happens when you try to do something nice for someone. What she doesnt realize was her shift was 7.30 hours and mine was too. so I worked 15 hours straight with two 30 minute lunches for 14 hours all together. It was killer on me but at least I had Sunday off!! Oh, and she drove thru drive thru to get a drink that Saturday and was not dressed for a wedding!
My manager has been scheduling me overnights on Saturdays (drive-thru is 24 hrs) and that means I get off at 5am Sunday morning. I don't usually make it to bible class Sunday morning and usually to worship but I am dead in the pew. haha. So, I told him every other weekend would be ok cause I want th 8 hr shift but did he listen. NOPE! two weekends in a row. There is someone at work who might switch me and if he does that would be great cause the girl I am doing the overnight with is kind of a manager suck up and she made me pay for my drink lastnight when i went in. I have not had to pay in my own store since I started working there! I couldn't believe it. Alot of people at work don't like her. I don't mind her but I wouldn't have gone in if I was gonna have to pay. oh well.
So, that's been my life in a nut shell. The dogs are done eating now so I guess I can go wrap the bday gift I got for the hubby so he will be surprised about something and maybe get motivated to clean. I have to work at 2 and tomorrow I work at 3 so I may just do it tomorrow or tonight. I clean better at night for some reason. lol.
HA!! This is a great question because I've thought the same thing!! When I say next Saturday, I do not mean this Saturday, I mean next saturday in next week. A week from this saturday. This saturday is in 4 days, next saturday is in 11 days. Seriously people...get it straight!!! LOVE YOU CONSTANCE!!!
I've thought the very thing and had a conversation with Jason about too. Whenever someone says "next", I say this one coming up or the one after. I never know which they mean. Also, Intersate signs are very confussing for this same reason. They state the "next" exit, but they don't mean the one coming up, they mean the one after. Drives me crazy!!!!
Well it's not interesting enough to write a book or story about it but I havn't been on the computer at all in awhile because I have been so busy. I worked 40 hours last week and this week close to 38 (as of tomorrow). As a result I am sick. Well I get sick when the weather starts to change and might I add for Tampa it feels wonderful outside. I love fall!!!!!
But I came home yesterday from work and hit the sack. I slept 41/2 hrs, got up to make some dinner, then went right back to bed til 9 this morning.
I have the weekend off to go to a wedding! whoop!
Had a great time with the girls on Monday "Last fling before the ring" for Amber. It's been a long time since I've had a girls night. I think we need to have one once a month at least. Just to claim my sanity. hehe
Dogs are doing well although shelby is itching so much she has little red blotches. Crazy dog.
Found out my husband may not be home til Monday, Tuesday or possibly Wed. Not cool! He has to drive the work truck back from Utah to San Antonio where they have to finish a job they didnt finish before. He's hoping if they make good time today and tomorrow they can start that job on sat instead of sunday which might possibly put him home monday. Being sick, I really need him home right now. Although he doesnt come anywhere near me at least he could take care of the dogs and stuff. That makes him being gone for 3 weeks! yuck!
But when he comes home we will do laundry, pack and head to Gatlinburg for a week! it's our early 1 year anniversary vacation. can't believe its already been a year....

I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT!!!!!
I felt so awful yesterday and my dad called me to hand the phone over to sis so she could tell me the good news. I started crying cause I was happy but wanted to jump up and down but couldnt cause i felt so bad! haha. my brother and sister-in-law have been married for 6 years now...i didnt think this was coming anytime soon.
so sometime in May i'm gonna have a little niece of my own. (my side of the family). I'm so happy for them. I am pretty sure my mom was jumping up and down in the background saying "we're gonna have a baby" he/she is going to be spoiled rotten!!!!!
my brother sounded so excited too. mom said he cried when he first found out. he's been ready to have a kid. i dont think he cares if its boy or girl. haha.
anyways....well i had to share it with someone. some people weren't answering their phone lastnight so they dont know yet.
alright, well i gotta shower and get to the store for some throat stuff and then to work. Holla!
I had my house SPOTLESS when rhett came home and now I am having family over Sunday and parents coming to stay with me tomorrow but I can not get motivated to clean.
Even though when my house is clean i feel SOOOO much better. I have gotten some stuff done but i just cant get it done! it's kind of irritating me!
hey, so supposedly mrs. cheryll & your grandmother were also planning something for saturday, she said she was going to call and talk to you.. so what are the plans now? lol
