Kathy posted a message to our family group on yahoo which I'm posting here:
Hi everyone, We had our checkup and consult with Dr.Huh yesterday afternoon. Healing nicely.I am a prime candidate for IP (Intra Peritoneal) Chemo because my cancer was confined to my pelvic region.I will also receive IV Chemo. Double the toxicity, but they say it will give me about 16 months longer than with just the IV Chemo. It will most likely make me very sick.I am scheduled on November 17 to have two BardPorts put in. I am scheduled for first infusion on November 19. First week I get IV & IP infusion. Second week, IP infusion. Skip a week, then repeat for six months.Looking forward to May 2009!
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Love you all,
Kathy & Bobby
I'm flying to Alabama next Thursday to see Kathy. Our other sister, Nancy, is driving down from Virginia so we can all be together.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. |

My sister Kathy is recovering nicely from the surgery. She goes to the oncologist next Wednesday to set up the chemo schedule.
I'm flying to Birmingham on Nov. 13th and my other sister is going to drive down from Virginia so we can all three be together.
I ordered my HQ16 quilting machine from Handi-Quilter last Sunday afternoon while I was at Quilt Market in Houston. I got an email today that says it's shipping out of Salt Lake City on Monday. And since it looks like Laura & family aren't coming for Thanksgiving or Christmas my quilting machine can just occupy the dining room until next spring. It's the only room big enough for the 12' table and frame. Maybe by next spring we'll have figured out what we're going to have to do for it to have a permenant home.
I had a good time at Market but was disappointed in the quilts on display. A group of quilts about our election process was oddly skewed to the left in content and it made me wonder about the allegience of the judges.
We all need to be praying that the citizens of this nation will come to their senses when they approach the voting booth. We could find ourselves in a level of persecution we've never known. |

My BIL just called. They found two tumors but only one had a little cancer. She's still sleeping right now but they will call me once she wakes up so I'll know she's all right. She'll be in pain and on the patient-controlled med machine for the next 24 hours I'm pretty sure and won't be feeling very good for a while but this is great news and will immediately ease her mind.
Thanks to every one -- our prayers have been answered and God is glorified! |

I talked to my sister a few minutes ago and her surgery is scheduled for 8 a.m. -- she has to be at the hospital by 6 a.m.
I'm glad she doesn't have to lay there and wait and wait.
My other sister, Nancy, and I are both more nervous than we want to admit.
If things go better than the doctor thinks I will try to post that. If you don't see a post you will have to call me as I don't know that I'll be up to posting. You may call if you like.
