Hi Pattie, please forgive my tardiness in responding. My pleonast skills need work and on top of that my laptop crashed recently. I am saving up to purchase a new one soon so that I can get back in the game. Good to here form you. May you have a blessed and excellent day! I love San Antonio by the way.
Thanks Patti!!! I'm actually in ok shape financially...which is good because I don't have to jump at the first job offer I get (unless its the right one of course). NYC is doing their best to keep me here too. I read today that they're likely going to have a 15% City income tax increase.
Well, here we are into another school year. The girls both had a good first day of school. Emily is in Stevenson Middle School Choir and she came home yesterday already singing. She starts the day off with choir. I think this will be a good year for her. I have talked with a lot of her teachers about her problems and even her counselor. The counselor is going to try to get her into a program that will help with her disabilities. I will hear more about that later to see if she qualifies. Rebekah is in 5th grade. She is doing patrol before school every morning. I think she will be doing that for the whole year. Since Emily doesn't start school till 8:30 am I now go into work later. I love going in early so I can get off early, but now I have to stay later. It's okay, it's a job and I am grateful to have a job. I did my "homework" last night filling out all the paperwork that parents do at the beginning of the year. I suspect tonight will begin the "real" homework. I hope all of your little ones in school had a good first day.
Hope your precious girls have a great school year. Choir was my favorite subject in school. I had rather sing than eat. I'm almost that bad now. Hug the girls for me, would you?
Well, my first week of vacation is over and done. I had a great time in San Marcos. It was just me, no children or husband for 3 whole days. I love my family, but sometimes one needs to just get away for a few days. I had a wonderful time with my sister and her family. Thanks Barb for putting up with me and helping me to spend my money.
Thursday of this week me and Doug and the girls are going to Austin for 3 days and then home. We are going to take in some of the sights and maybe visit with Debbie and Alan and their children. It's nice to go away but always best to come home.
My countertops are being installed this week, so I'm waiting for that workspace to be completed. Of course, I'll be back in school, but I know that my friends with "real" jobs don't plan their activities around being off all day, so I won't either--crop coming up!
Yes, I went back today, and the Elizabeth begins next Monday . . . and actually Anna Kay begins next Monday, also. My school 3rd through 5th has meet the teacher on Thursday, too!
That is great about the 504 stuff and the teachers sound great for getting back with you so quickly!! I am very impressed! It sounds like she will have a terrific year.
Starting a week from tomorrow, next Tuesday I start my 2 week vacation. Yea!! I am going to spend a few days with my sister in San Marcos. Yea!! Guess what!! NO KIDS!! My hubby is so sweet, he is going to take care of the little angels while I am away. How sweet is that. Then the next week our whole family is going to Austin to stay at the Wyndham downtown and take in some of the Austin sites. Will be nice to get away for a few days. Summer is nearly over. School starts August 25. Emmy starts middle school. HELP ME!!!
Hey, what time are you going to be here Tuesday? Elizabeth has a favor to ask of you. . . . she was wondering if you would go by North Star Mall to a place called MAC and pick up some lipstick for her? I will probably call you sometime on Monday and ask if I don't hear back from you on here. I'll show you the ride when you get here. :0
I guess it is time for a new post. Amazing how time gets away from you. The summer is already half over. Soon school will be starting again, and my oldest will be in middle school. Where does the time go? I am taking vacation at the end of July and beginning of August. I will probably go spend some time with my sister in Wimberley and Doug and the girls and I are planning to go the Austin for a couple of days and take in the capitol and LBJ library and The Bob Bullock Museum. I have always wanted to go there but have not been.
Good morning . . . I was watching a DVD last night when the girls were little, and guess what else was on it? You getting ready to go to the hospital, you at the hospital, and you and Emily at the hospital right after she was born!!! We will have to watch it when y'all come over!
Actually they are just closing the scrapbook side and keeping the teacher part. They said they will still carry scrapbooking items, just not tons. We will make plans to go there when you are here to see what they have left! You are bringing the girls aren't you? They will love the puppy, she is small so she shouldn't scare them. She does do the puppy biting, but we are trying to teach her to stop!
