So, its been a little less than a year since I have updated. :) A lot has happened this year and we have so many blessing to be thankful for!
Noah will be 3 in February and is keeping us busy. His brain is a sponge and we are amazed how fast he is growing into a big boy. He knows his alphabet (memory and sight) and is about 50% right on the sounds the letters make. :) He LOVES Bible class and everyone at church. He's the "greeter" for all family, visitors and members. Occasionally we have to remind him not to yell "Hey ZO" when Lorenzo gets up to lead songs/prayer/etc.
Speaking of "Zo". Lauren and Lorenzo moved just a mile down the road from us and it has been great. WE are looking forward to their new arrival in March!
Autumn is 11 months today (sniff sniff) and trying to catch up with her big brother. She is almost walking (she can walk with a push toy) and learning to be a little flirt. She's calmer than her brother and for that we are VERY thankful. One of her favorite activities is to watch the Wiggles and their nursery rhymes. She also loves to read (or look at the pictures) and play with her baby dolls.
Jonathan is doing well at Ball Aerospace. We are very blessed he is smart and a hard worker. Jonathan got a wonderful review in October and I am so very proud of him. We are all learning to deal with his RA (rheumatoid arthritis) but he is much better. Another blessing is that we live in an age with "miracle" medicines and researchers. Hopefully a cure will be found in the next 5-10 years.
I'm doing great. As some you know, I once again battled PPD (postpartum depression) and had a few very dark days and weeks. Thank our God for friends, family and brethren who have helped me through this time, especially for my sisters, Jodi, Amanda and Lynn. Bless you all! I'm doing great and pretty much back to my normal self. As a mother of two small children, there is never a moments rest but I LOVE it!
The holidays are here and we are excited have family to celebrate with! I am not sending xmas cards this year as xmas SNUCK up on me! Next year I'll get back in the swing of it. :)
Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!
Love
Sarah
p.s. our website is "somewhat" updated. I will post more after Christmas. :)
* and its FREEZING here. .. 14 degrees for the high today. .
hey sarah, merry christmas! hadnt known about jonathans RA, hope things continue to improve for him. Emily and i just found out today our first will be a boy. hes due to May!
Thanks for posting! I liked the pictures - your kiddos are so cute!
I'm feeling better these days. I never got really sick but definitely had some gagging and nausea. I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday and I think my body has adjusted to the hormones because I'm feeling pretty good...still tired!
Hey girl!!!!! So good to read an update from you all! Ross (my fiance) and I will be in Colorado from the 20th to the 3rd ..so hopefully we'll get to see you all sometime!!!!
So glad to hear the update! Things are really good with us too - looking forward to sharing Christmas with Andrew for the first time! Wish you the happiest of new years!!!!
New pictures are up on our weblog. HOpe you enjoy. Noah is getting so big at 33#s and talking in sentences. Autumn is still a peanut compared to what Noah was at 2 months. She is 10 #s and smiling more everyday. She gives the biggest grins to Noah! He is a good big brother! :)
Hope you are all doing well. I haven't been on much...I think about everyone's name is in white!
I'll send the pics from last week to you when i get a chance. Right now I have to study for my test tomorrow. I posted some of the pics on my blog (mom made a comment about how I needed to update). :) heehee. Love you.
You and your family look so happy. I can tell life is going well for you. Nathan and I are doing great. Did you hear about Teena Powell Harris who went to school with us?
She passed away on Sunday night from a brain anuerism (SP?). She had been married a little over 2 years. See the FC_02 group for more details. It is just so sad.
Hey Sarah. I hope you are doing well. I miss talking to you. Anyway I don't know if you have ever really heard from Emily or not but her and Nathan had a baby boy yesterday. Your kids are so cute!
Hi, Sarah!!! How are you? What's been going on with you for the last ... 5 years? :) So you have 2 kids? We're expecting our first - due in September. :)
My sister lives in Colorado, too! She lives in Glenwood Springs - right on I-70. :) We're in Joliet, IL these days - so we're getting snow, but not in March ... or, at least, not much! :)
It's crazy that I have not been out since Dec. We are so busy with this house...lots and lots of work! I hope to get out there maybe in Aug??? It is just hard to get away b/c we are what is keeping the house moving along...since we are the contractors! How is everything? I bet you are super busy with two now...but enjoying every minute!
I know! We have been super busy and I'm sure you have been too! We are doing very well though! I'm feeling good and I have my next sono a week from Friday. No reason... he just likes to do another routine one.
I saw him a couple of times, too, but I didn't think he'd know who I was so I never said anything to him. I've had times where I walk up to someone I went to FC Camp with and I give them an enthusiastic "Hi!! How are you???" and they look at me like "Uh, ok - who are you?". Pretty embarassing. ;)
But, now that I know that he knows who I am I will confidently give him a "hello" next time I see them. :)
I am doing great. It's hard to believe that the last time I saw you, you were my single adopted mom and now you are married with two kids! I'm sure you're an awesome mommy :)
SO adorable. She's looking more like Noah everyday! Jonathan said that you wanted to get together! I think the boys may be conspiring to play video games on saturday morning. If Jonathan wants to come here and I'm happy to go to you and help out and have fun! Just a thought...:-) Hope everything is going really well. It looks like it is. Have a great day!
How are you doing these days. I bet life is busy but so much fun. I have been thinking of you alot lately. Now that I am expecting I am excited but nervous all at the same time. Hope you are doing well.
We would love to see Micah and Hannah when they come. Sure missed you at church last night. Your little boy was so well behaved. That YOU for the Iced coffee a couple weeks ago. I don't know that I ever really said thanks for that (how rude of me). I hope the baby slept well last night, Jonathan told me she had a hard afternoon! Left me know if you ever need an afternoon nap! I'm happy to help!
