Pictures from Germany trip If you click on this link, you can go to Mark's pictures from our Germany trip. It was such a grand adventure and we have many wonderful memories.
I loved your pictures! Do either of you speak German? We were in Germany for just a short time, and I'd really like to go back. Looks like you all went at a good time of year.
Hello, Glad you had a good trip/gospel mtg. in Germany. Monk let me know that you had a pic of Caleb (captain_obvious) at the bowling alley/birthday party. I down loaded it to the pc, but when I printed it it came out small and un focused. Would you mind emailing it to me in larger form. I have my windstream address on my pleo. With great appreciation. You have some great pic's. Squirrel
That is very true ... but something that we learned in the speech was that at times during the interrogation, the FBI agent said Saddam H was a "normal guy ... talking and cracking jokes!" He said there were times he had to remind himself he was looking into the eyes of the man who had done so many evil things.
I really enjoy my Fusion I wasn't sure I wanted another car but after I test drove it, I was sold. We bought it in April it is an 06 had all the bells and whistles and only had 4000 miles on it. A widow lady traded it in for Caddy after her husband died because she had always wanted a cadillac, So it was basically a new car.
I've enjoyed the pictures, though something on my computer won't let me get the slideshow going or allow me to make them larger. I continue to get kicked off. But I can see all the small ones and I see some beautiful countryside!
I wasn't sure what address to send to him... or if he changed addresses so needed me to send an email to auto add to his add book?? Or if I was just loosing it???
They lived there 3 separate times; I believe Mark said Mannheim (that's where he graduated high school), Kaiserslautern, & Munich (I'm sure I butchered that spelling on the "K") !
We're in Weissenthurm, Germany and having a good day seeing the city. We went to Cologne yesterday and saw a beautiful cathedral. It's been a real adventure and I'll tell more later. We're all fine, but having a hard time finding an Internet hotspot.
Mark's niece, Rachel, and her husband and family came to hear Gene the last night of the meeting. They drove over an hour from Roanoke, VA. Such a sweet family! She was at FC with Jady and Jacob, and he was at FC with Luke and Suzanne.
We arrived a little after noon today. The trip was long, but uneventful. We had a little longer than expected layover in Amsterdam, but it still was not bad. It's lovely Fall here and nicely cool. The gospel meeting starts tomorrow and it runs through Sunday. I'm sure we'll have many common acquaintances and it's so nice to meet more faithful Christians. We should have plenty of pictures to share later.
Technology is wonderful! To us, it seems like Germany is just around the corner. Thanks for checking in! We await pictures, which, I'm sure, will be SUPERB!
Glad you had a good, uneventful, safe trip. Have fun,,only laid over in Germany but loved Switzerland...we went up in a gondola car in the Alps...one of God's magnificent creations!!
Thank you for checking in with us. You've been in my prayers. I can't wait to see pictures, and hear all about it, but if necessary, I can wait until Thanksgiving. But only if necessary! Love you.
Hearing Mark's voice this morning was great! So glad the flight was safe . Ryan is safe too, and we are enjoying him. I like hearing the back door opening and hearing his "hel-lo".
Next week we fly to Germany! Mark's holding a gospel meeting in Ramstein and then we plan to go to Switzerland for our belated 30th anniversary. This is my first time to fly across the ocean into a foreign country. I've got a little of the jitters, but it should be so beautiful!! We're trying to get our packing mostly done this week and soon we'll be off to the wild blue yonder.
I would expect Mark could get some really good pictures. Have a safe trip and a wonderful celebration ... I think I need to start planning my trip (I have 12 years to plan!)
Good luck with your trip. That is a very important work there in Ramstein. My brother-in-law was first exposed to sound teaching while he was stationed there.
Have a great (and productive!!!!!) trip! You will be in our prayers! (Wow! This trip seemed a long time in the future when you were here! Is is already that time????)
