Probably because I decided to wear very high heels, and have spent the majority of the day dancing around with the kids.
Teaching is great! My two schools are great! I have my very own classroom at Temple Terrace Elementary so I'm loving that. Everything at Lutz Elementary school is going well.
Silly Suzanne! You're gonna have to break down and get some Clark's. They're my all-time favorite. There's a store in International mall. Check them out...cute and comfy. :)
Well, I'm back in Tampa now, and all I have left of my first year of Grad School is a few papers and a test that are due on August 4th, so I'm trying to work on those before I run out of time.
I have a job teaching music at Lutz Elementary (3 days/week) and Temple Terrace Elementary (2 days/week). I'm really excited to get this position for a few reasons, one of being the distance that I'll travel will be significantly less than the 28 miles each way to my job last year! But I guess in the long run, it doesn't matter how far I have to travel to get there, at least I have a job!
I move to my new condo on August 1 (my baby sisters birthday!)
I have been accepted into grad school! For the next two summers, I will move up to Gainesville and work on my Masters of Music Education. It's a really intense program but I'm ready for the challenge. The best part about it... I don't have to stop teaching! The program was designed for teachers, so I will only have to be on campus for 6 weeks each summer. I should have my degree by December of 2009! The program starts in two weeks and I am so excited to be a part of it!
Another thing I'm excited about? School ends for the kids tomorrow and for the teachers on Thursday! Woo! I take the professional education exam on Thursday right after school. Hopefully after that test, I won't have to take any more for certification.
I had an interview with a middle school for a Band Director position last Friday, and I have another interview for a Band/Chorus Director next Monday. The interview on Friday went well but no news yet. Hopefully something will open up for me for the fall.
So, end of my story... I'm in Tampa for another week, then I'll head over to Cocoa Beach to visit Josh for a few days, and then I'll be up in Gainesville for 6 weeks. I'll move back to Tampa when the program ends on July 25.
Kind of. My family (Beans) are all one number apart. It's really helpful to try and remember them. We got the phones off the internet and they told us that it probably wouldn't happen that way. Lucky for us it did!
Hey, you stinker. I didn't know you were on here!! I miss you (and Ava does, too)--it seems like we haven't really gotten to talk in a while. Hope you're enjoying Gainesville.
Hi Suzanne! Do you remember me? Liz Smith - I visited your family in Dublin in 1993 and also in MA. Was at Peter & Lauren's wedding. Last Oct I worshipped in BG Sun evening and saw Fiona! Actually, she saw me first, recognized me, and came over and spoke to me. I was so pleased. I saw Peter & Lauren at Livingston when there for the Crafts wedding. Fiona told me about their baby. How exciting! Your mom sent me a family phot0 - I love it!! Congrats on your teaching job. Hope it's going well. Take care now.
So I got a job at Boyette Springs Elementary school in Riverview, FL! I've been here a little over a week, and so far I love it! Kid's are very entertaining, and I feel like I have a new story every day about the things that they do. I never thought I'd enjoy teaching elementary school so much!
Anyways, everything else is going really well! I'm amazed at how much my life has changed over the past months. I don't think that I have ever been so content! I am truly blessed in every aspect of my life.
In other news,
I got to go to Duluth, MN for a few days to visit my parents two weeks ago. It was freezing cold! I'm planning on going up again for new years with the rest of my siblings. It'll be a lot of fun, I'm sure.
My niece and nephew are growing so big!! They're so cute! I love them...
I will be in Duluth until Dec. 25th, Ohio Dec. 25 - Jan 1. I'm not sure if I'll go back up to Duluth on Jan 1st or not. How long will you be in Duluth?
