are NOT fun!!! It is bad enough to be nauseas because of pregnancy, but then to have the whole family come down with a stomach bug is really not cool. Faith is the only one that didn't have the vomiting (yet...) but she did have the other side of the stomach bug which I believe in a 3 year old who doesn't always make it to the bathroom is just as bad if not worse than vomit. Sigh... I am really looking forward to this weekend when hopefully we will all be feeling lots better and can enjoy the Renaissance Festival.
On a side note I go to see my ob today and I am hoping maybe she can explain the kidney thing to me a little better. We shall see. Hope all of you had a MUCH better weekend than I did!
**UPDATE** My ob said that the kidney issue that baby boy has commonly fixes itself before birth. So that is what we are hoping for. She said if it doesn't there is a simple procedure that can be done, but we didn't go into that since there is no reason to count our chickens before they hatch. Hopefully it will resolve itself. =)
i think ayden got it too...throwing up yesterday..yuck...hope you guys get better soon! i think i saw you on your way to your appt...i was on the way back from mine:)
You don't know me, but I found you through someone else's blog. We were told the same thing at my 20 week ultrasound. My daughter's problem did not correct itself before birth. However, she is 2 months old has shown some improvement since birth. Her doctor plans to check it regularly to make sure it continues to improve. Hers has always been considered a mild problem.
Boy!!! So we will have three boys and one girl. Faith and Ethan were both a little disappointed (as was momma) but we are all excited now to meet our newest little guy. I am a little worried about him and would appreciate your prayers. They are concerned that one of his kidneys isn't functioning correctly. They are going to do another ultrasound in about 5 weeks. They said that when they get a better look at it it could be nothing or that it maybe something but we won't know the full extent until he is born. They said the good news is his other kidney looks really good, so at worst he would only have one kidney. For a momma's heart it is really hard to hear that there might be something wrong with your baby, but I am thankful that it wasn't one of his other organs (that he only has one of like his heart, brain, etc). Just please keep us and baby boy in your prayers. =) I have a few pictures... we didn't get any good profile pics because they spent a lot of time looking at that kidney and trying to get a better look at it. I will try to post the few I have tomorrow. Thanks also for all the birthday wishes, I have had a very good birthday. (You can't beat a free freebirds burrito, free cold stone ice cream, and outlet shopping- and yes I bought my newest little guy a few cute outfits too!)
i love free stuff on my birthday, too!
i'm glad you do have a girl, though - she will have some good brothers taking care of her, too! :)
do keep us posted on lil guy's kidney. i hope it is nothing!!
Thanks Sherry!!! I put it on the mothers with multiples group. I also put your birth announcement in the mail today... I haven't mailed all of them, I'll get them all in the mail next week... so your Mom and Jody won't get there's until then.
Congratulations! Being in the library does give you way more time. When I taught English I got to school at 730 and rarely ever left before 445. When I was in the library I rarely ever left after 345 - and no papers to grade at home!
So this time I am supposed to list at least 8 things I am thankful for or 8 blessing in my life... so here goes:
1. God and His infinite grace and mercy. I don't know where I would be without them, but eternally it wouldn't be with HIM!
2. Jesus and His wonderful example and self sacrifice so that I can obtain that mercy mentioned above!
3. My husband who has taught me so much and supported me through so much. He keeps me laughing and helps me to have better grammar too! ;) I also love that he enjoys reading and is someone I can discuss a good book with. He is my perfect match!
4. My firstborn son, Ethan. His big green eyes are so soulful and he is the most thoughtful little boy. He picks up on my moods and knows when I need his hugs and kisses most.
5. My daughter, Faith. The way she sings through the day brings a song to my heart and her giggle brings a smile to my face. She tries so hard to be a helper and someday I know she will be a great one!
6. My youngest son, Thomas. The sparkle of mischief in his blue eyes would melt a heart of stone. His is my trash king and although he sometimes creates more work for mama to do, his antics keep me laughing through the day.
7. I have been blessed beyond measure with christian friends who truly are my family (and I am lucky enough that many of them are really family too!) I don't know what I would do without my brethren to turn to during difficult times or just times when I am lonely and need someone to go do something with!
8. My bestest friend. She has known me my whole life and there is nothing that she has not been there for me through. I know that even though we never get to live closer than 2 hours away from each other, she is always here for me and will give me the best Godly advice!
9. I don't yet know who this newest blessing is that is growing inside of me, but God knows this baby and I know that whoever He has decided to bless us with will help to complete our family. I am anxious to know more about our newest little one.
I was tagged and so here are 8 random things about me...
1.I love to read... wait you say- I already knew that- well the current book on my nightstand is Ivanhoe. I just got it yesterday so I haven't gotten to start it yet, but I am hoping to this weekend.
2. Someday (in the very near future) I am going to start working towards my masters. I want to get it in Library Science so I can be an elementary school librarian when I eventually return to work (when my kids are all in school).
3. I LOVE musicals... especially Rodgers and Hammerstein, but I like others as well. Along this line I am hoping to go see both Annie and Wicked when they come to Austin next summer.
4. I was **this** close to becoming a French teacher instead of elementary teacher, but decided jr and sr high school students attitudes just weren't for me! So I went to the other end of the spectrum and got my Early Childhood degree- but I ended up teaching 3rd grade which was perfect for me!
5. My momma's nickname for me was always "babydoll" because she said I looked like a babydoll with my big green eyes.
6. When I was younger I actually used to want 6 children!! Josh is glad I cut it back to 4...=)
7. I love to snow ski, but I never really mastered water skiing. Also I can ice skate better than I can roller skate.
8.My favorite bible verse is Joshua 1:9... I love how God is always with us- no matter where I go or how alone I may feel, my God is with me. Conversely, God is ALWAYS with us and therefore I cannot hide anything from Him. He knows my heart and it makes me want to make a clean and pure place for Him to stay.
- on the fun trivia side Josh and I started dating on 1-19 and so that fits as well.
Now off to tag others... does it really have to be 8? I will do my best...
no..i haven't been to the yankee candle store in georgetown...i did go to the store in the mall..they had buy one get on 50% off. i'll have to check it out! good random things to know. :) #8 is really cool!
Last night was encouraging! Our Wendesday night study right now is on prayer, and it is helping me a lot! I'm really working on praying more and praying "better". :) Okay, now to deal with this tag thing...stay tuned! :)
I LOVE musicals, too. We saw both Annie and Wicked when we were in NYC 2 Decembers ago. WICKED is absolutely AWESOME!!! Annie was good, too, but the venue (Madison Square Gardens) was lacking.
I love to snow ski, too. I was actually going through some old pics. the other day, and found some of when our families went skiing together back in the day!
I am Pam. I think I have met you a couple of times. I was at A&M with Josh. Anyway, I got my MLS in '05 and was a librarian for two years before I had my kids. It is the greatest job ever (except mom & wife of course)!
