Well I am keeping busy with wedding planning, house hunting, school teaching, and keeping my fiancee fed and happy. Time is certainly flying by and I have so much more left to do before the wedding which is in less than 4 months now.
I am also very glad to have Aaron back home so that I can see him every day. I have missed him while he was gone to Georgia for four months. Hard to believe that he was there since the middle of June. Seems like a really long time but I am glad to finally be through that.
It was definitely a test on our relationship and it was rough, but we made it through. We also learned a lot about ourselves and our relationship during that time. It was definitely what I would call a trial by fire.
hey mandy! good to hear from you. for sure long distance relationships are hard. especially when someone*ummsam* doesnt like talking on the phone. Yes, amber is fortunate to be okay, for sure!!! I just look around my house right now and think of all i'd have to replace if we had a fire..overwhelming!
Only 11 days until Aaron's graduation from training. I am so happy! The past 15 weeks has been very stressful and difficult for us both. I would never have thought that I could miss someone that much. Our time apart has just made us more eager to get married. We have a lot of planning stuff to do once he gets home. So I am looking forward to getting more things crossed off my to do list. But the most exciting thing is that we are going to go look at a house when he gets back. I already looked at it and loved it so we will see what he thinks. It is in Crosby and is really close to his sisters which would be nice. So I hope the next 11 days go by quickly for my sanity's sake.
Oh and P.S. My house and my parent's house survived Ike amazingly well. All is good.
Yes I do have a wonderful wife. Honestly I need to stop telling her she isn't going to do something...cause she finds a way everytime. Missed ya'll yesterday too. See ya weds. though. Btw when do you start school again?
Yah! Separation has a way of doing that but it was also a way for you guys to be really sure you were ready for marriage. Good Luck on the house! Crosby is a nice area.
Well I got home about 1:30 am this morning. No I didn't get stranded this time but had other fun adventures. The restaurant we ate at before going to the airport took a long time so I got to the airport only about 45 minutes before my flight and they would not let me check my bag. So I had to quickly go through my bag for what I wanted to stick in my carry on. Then I left my bag in Georgia with Aaron. I get on the plane and get to Atlanta. My flight from Atlanta to Houston was delayed an hour because they had to change the front tires. I made it home last night but without my bag. And halfway home on my flight I realized I left my medicine, my car keys, my house keys, and my hair brush with Aaron. So...it will be a fun couple of weeks until Aaron brings my bag back to Texas with him on his flight for Labor Day. I always have adventures when travelling by myself. But I am glad to have made it home. Oh and seeing Aaron was wonderful!
Ha! Ya'll aren't getting old. If ya'll are getting old that means I'm getting older. :)
You need to update :)
Only 4 more months? Wow! It's going by fast.
Well I am leaving in about 30 minutes to go see Aaron. We have been apart for 6 weeks and I am so happy to be going there today. I couldn't sleep last night I was so excited. So now I am excited and tired. But, everybody keep me in your prayers this weekend. Pray that I will not get stranded in Atlanta again on the way home. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! I will.
