if Obama becomes our president? I know that God is in control and that His will will be done for our country. I just can't help feeling like it's going to be really bad if Obama wins.
I love my mom and think that she is the best. Not only do she and my dad manage to stay completely occupied by all of their kids drama (you know you are never really done being a mom or needing your mom), but takes on my friends drama too! I learn from her constantly and am amazed that I ever thought she didn't understand me or my problems. Many of you may not know that my parents adopted me when I was 7-8 years old. I feel blessed every day that they took me as their own even though I had many problems that had to be worked on. They must have done something right because my life is not the train wreck is was headed for. She instilled in me the desire to be a Godly woman and even now shows me how to never stop striving to reach heaven. I just thought I would share this little "Ode to My

Today she and my dad have Austin for the day. They are just hanging out with him and doing his school work with him. They got it easy actually. Austin is very self-motivated and does most of his work without much help from me. (Wait till they take one that has to have constant hand holding) I hope he can gleem from their knowledge and wisdom today and use it to become the man God wants him to be.
I think that my daughter Emily may grow up to be a writter. She is always writing and illustrating books for us. She wrote the cutest book for us today about a shell. For the first time ever she actually titled it. It is called "The Shell" . I wish I could scan the pages for you guys to see. Here is the story....

I remember that about you, that's one thing I miss since we all have kids is that we don't get to do things together very often. The way Kevin and I are going we'll be in the nursing home before all of ours are grown :)
We did not get any significant damage. A palm tree fell over in the back yard and an oak is close to falling over on the side. We got our power back last night. Overall, we feel bleesed. Please pray for those not so lucky. Several people from Southside have lost their homes due to flood water and/or wind and tree damage.
Glad you are "back" online! Good grief! I was worried about y'all but since you weren't right on the water I figured you would be better off than Mom and Dad. I am really glad they got out even though their house seems fine. Poor Angi!
