"And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things." -Mark 6:34
Today, the "Big Three" automakers were on Capitol Hill saying, "Give us Money. We're going poor."
Elizabeth Dole says that the Auto "crisis" is due to the housing-market collapse.
The Governator just said that Global Warming is causing the massive wlidfires in SoCal.
China figured out just how much their mandatory-abortion policy has saved them in "carbon offsets" and are planning on selling them to the US and Europe. (If that happened, our tax dollars would be (mis)spent on lies and state-mandated abortions).
Real actual pirates have hijacked two oil tankers off the coast of Somolia and are holding it ransom for over $100 million.
What is going on?! This is madness!
There are two reasons the auto-makers are in trouble: One, union involvement and Two, the government. If you take those two out of the equation, the car-makers can thrive. Continue to allow them to run the industry with unrealistic regulations and ridiculous concepts (like GW), and no amount of money will be sufficient to bail them out of this "crisis." However, this does not mean we should bail them out. They made poor mistakes. They should suffer for it. Make people actually learn from their mistakes. Some other company will fill the vaccuum and we'll be fine. Let the Free-Market work!
Oddly enough, the same reasons that caused the auto-makers "crisis" are the same exact reasons that caused the housing-market problem. However, instead of it being the unions, it was the investors themselves. Either way, the government still played a big part in it. No, Mrs Dole, the auto-makers "crisis" is not a part of the house-market collapse; they are both the fault of an over-bearing and oppressive government that exceeds its Constitutional powers.
In addition to that, a recent study has just shown that it is actually cooler now at the end of the Bush administration than it was before the beginning of it. Some may blame that on the slumping economy, but the fact is that production rates have gone up every year of his administration (including this last one). The world population has increased. The only thing that hasn't increased is the amount of sunspot activity. You do the math.
Also, Mr Schwartzenager, GW has nothing to do with wildfires. Records show the worst wildfire seasons have been colder seasons, not warmer. Therefore, it makes sense for the wildfires this year to be more intense than previous years because it is a whole .03 degrees cooler this year than this time a decade ago. BTW, in the last decade, the earth has cooled a third of a degree which is (according to Al Gore and his (lying) climatologists) a third of the whole degree that the earth raised over the last 100 years. Again, you do the math.
With the China-thing, is it any surprised that the UN applauded this insanity? "Yeah, they're killing babies to save the planet! Yeah! They'll sell us what carbon-imprint they didn't use by killing all those babies so we don't have to change our life-styles while making everyone else in the world feel guilty about not changing theirs! Yeah!" Why don't we just get rid of the UN? Nothing but a bunch of morons and terrorists looking to sanction themselves and harm the US.
Finally, pirates? Well, that's pretty cool. I believe it is getting to the point described by HL Mencken when he said, "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." I think those pirates have the right idea.
That's all I got.
Go do something productive.
I love you.

The funny thing is that moral and ethical issues aside, China *can't* sell carbon offsets from this activity. For something to count as a carbon offset, it has to be "additive" -- that is, done in addition to "business as usual" and for the specific purpose of offsetting carbon emissions. Since China has been enforcing this policy for decades, they can hardly claim it as additive.
It is stories like this that make me love www.drudgereport.com.
In light of the US government bailing out various financial institutes and banks, the UK government is planning on bailing out a different kind of bank in the UK.
Remember: A vote for Obama is a vote for socialism. (Socialism is, of course, a system of government that takes everything you have and distributes it "equally" for the "greater good.")
Also, remember" A Vote for McCain is a vote for something else. Unfortunately, since he is such a "maverick," we have no idea what he might actually do.
