You got a puppy?! What kind? I've only been up for an hour...but so far I smiled that I still had some hot apple cider left, after panicking that I had run out! :)
i was so shocked when your dad made the announcement! but i am so jealous that you will get to work with a new congregation that is earnestly wanting to learn. can i come visit you!?
It made me smile this morning when I was feeding Ava breakfast and she stopped and started hugging and kissing my belly and saying, "Aww, Enan!"--aka "Evan"! :) So sweet! And I didn't know you had decided to move to NY with your peeps!
So as I clicked just "one more time" while browsing this evening I came across this startling reality.
Is it life altering? No.
Will any of you care or know what I'm talking about? Perhaps not.
Do I still feel compelled to send this information out to be heard so that I feel better? Yes.
While watching the beloved show, Project Runway, viewers are led to believe that only 3 (sometimes 4) of the original designers are allowed to present @ NY's fashion week, the reality is that 6 of the designers are allowed to show. That's a BIG difference. I could go into how much of a difference that is... but if you watch the show you'll understand how crazy that is and if you don't watch the show the details will only bore you.
So I shall leave it at that and retire for the evening.
i'm a little behind. here is my comment for the last post: I love pushing daisies! its a great show! the colors and scenery are so surreal and brilliant that the characters are even more entertaining! i love that little world.
If you haven't caught an episode you should rethink what you've been doing with your time. Thankfully I was enlighted... I owe you one!
I'm not sure I can sum up the greatness.
Be it the quirky characters or the retro costumes or the vibrant set or the witty banter or the awesome narrator (who is also the narrator of the "Harry Potter" books on tape or so I've been told) or the beautiful golden retriever named Digby; the show does not disappoint, folks! In short... I watched the first 3 episodes and fell in love (or something like it).
I think I knew I was hooked when this analogy was presented:
"[A hug is] like an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you and they give you a squeeze and all your fear and anxiety come shooting out of your mouth in a big wet wad and you can breath again."
Ah, this is seriously one of my most FAVORITE shows. It is so whimsical. It makes me think of Randi Roberts and the way she called everything romantic. This show is romantic.
I was wondering if it was any good...I think you can also watch it online on abc.com (is it ABC? I forget..whichever site Lost is on..) Anyway...now that you've recommended it, I'll have to check it out! :)
O season of ripe beauty, you I greet!
Whose heart is love's calm wisdom at its throbbing core;
Your deep hues and myriad colors make the soul's wings beat
And lift a lover like me to your ambrosial shore.
Through you Nature weeps its precious golden tears,
In you a mortal eye could glimpse its native Immortality,
O endless fount of inspiration to the poet-seers
To be bound by your embrace is to be truly free!
A glad earth bathes in your benign and lustrous smile
And man's heart thrills with an unknown rapture and delight
By your whispers and footfalls and flute-call beguiled,
An ancient kinship links him to your celestial height.
A brimming of golden sweetness in your dreaming eyes
Fills the world with the beauty of a realm divine,
The sun's last rays serenely trickle from your purple skies:
I send my love and song and call your blessings mine.

I wore a jacket as I sat outside watching a soccer game last night. It was a good day.
My brother thinks you should hire me even though he's way better than me and he knows it. But anyway... I need money and I hear you give that to people when they work for you so hire me because I'm AWESOME... kind of... my brother is cooler but I'm up there, too. Or not. Whateva! Holla at ya girl!
PEACE, foo!
Or...
Hey,
You know you want to hire me. I think your company is great.
Don't be stupid.
Thanks
PS-Pay my moving expenses. (That's not a polite request. It's a serious order. DO IT!)
And definitely not...
To whom it may concern,
My brother, who has received many accolades (from you), told me there were some positions opening up in your company and I would like to be considered for the job, I am a lot like my brother!!
When we were little, a lot of people would ask our parents, “Are they twins?”. My parents would say, “No, they are two and a half years apart!!” And the people would say, “Wow, they look like they are the same age!!”
I have always thought that I could do anything he could do and now I want his job. If you like the job he does you will LOVE me…even more!! I haven’t read half the books he has read but I have seen pretty much all of the movies he has seen…at least the chick flicks. He is really, really smart and I am really, really pretty!! He knows how to tell jokes, I know how to laugh at jokes. He likes to eat desserts and I am an incredible dessert baker!! He worked at an ice cream shop, scooping ice cream and I worked there too, making ice cream cakes!! So…you know…do you see what I mean!?!
I could help you find lost files and stuff, really I could! When my room gets really messy I can still, like, find things!! Just like him…my brother.
If there’s anything else you need to know, I would be happy to tell you more.
Looking forward to hearing from you, cause I got bills to pay!!

So there ya have it folks!
Don't push me 'cause I am close to the edge. Seriously!
You are one awesome woman. You are gonna rock that application like Stevie Wonder rocks a harmonica solo.
Sorry, I'm listening to Stevie at the moment and that was the best analogy I could come up with. But Stevie really does rock a harmonica solo. Almost as well as you'll rock that application. I actually probably need to call my boss to warn him about the ton of bricks coming his way. No doubt.
This cracked me up. I am picturing you, sitting on our couch at the 404, saying, "yeah...my brother...he's totally awesome." Love you. Miss you. Come visit me. That's not a request! :)
Awesome! Good luck! As for Ava being a big helper...we will see! She is definitely a mommy's girl and has major jealousy issues when it comes to me giving another child attention!
