here are some pictures of caitlyn's christmas program. i was so proud of her. she stayed on the stage and didn't run off crying like she did at her grandparent's day program. it was so cute watching all the little kindergarteners sing and have a fun time. they got to bring a special guest. most of the guests were dads. ray had to work, so my dad came and papa was the special guest. (Papa is the first guy on the left holding the snowflake.) the guests had to get on the stage and dance as the kids sang the snowflake song. it was quite funny!
That would be quite funny watching your dad dance on stage... too bad you don't have some video of that!!! Yay for Caitlyn not runnin gof the stage! I am glad she stuck it out this time and it looks like she had fun! =)
Well the time has come to think about the new year that is approaching. It's a time everyone reflects on the past year and thinks about the year ahead and a fresh start. Every year, my goal is to grow spiritually. This past year has been amazing seeing my children growing in the Lord. I love how Caitlyn is learning more and more Bible facts and actually remembering them. I love seeing Tyson get excited to sing our Bible songs during our home studies. The best I think is seeing your baby singing in services. It's bringing tears to my eyes just thinking of it. It's such a blessing to see your children grow in the Lord. I pray they will continue to do so and that all of you and yours grow in the faith as well. May the Lord bless you in this new year!
Oh! Here are some pictures of the kids from christmas day.
Tyson loves his football helmet!
Caitlyn loves her robe. She says now she's just like Nana!
Those are wonderful resolutions and it is such a blessing to see our children growing and learning more about God's word. You are doing a great job! I like your pictures- Tyson is so cute with his football stuff (even if it is stinky sooners ;P) and I like how Caitlyn wants to be like her Nana. Too sweet.
I love listening to kids sing! We had a group of middleschoolers sitting behind us at the last singing and Vic and I kept cracking up- but in a good way!
Instead of sending out christmas cards this year, I am emailing pictures. If I don't have your email address, don't feel left out. I sent this slideshow out to people and you can enjoy it here! :) Thanks to Sherry for getting me to join here and getting me on photobucket. I pray everyone has a safe and happy holiday season with friends and family! Continue to grow in the Lord!
ps i took off the slideshow. if you would like to see it, let me know and i will get it to you.
Their pictures were really cute- and really emailing pictures you can send so many more pictures!! =) Merry Christmas to ya'll... I will miss seeing you this year! Love ya!
I am Sooner born and Sooner bred too...now I am in Columbia, MO :) Working for the Mizzou athletic department...but I did manage to make it to 2 OU games this year - on was the big 12 championship against Mizzou :) the other was OU vs Texas Tech :) What a game! I miss the whole OU atmosphere! So, where do you live?
I know how you feel. I am barely holding it together this year with everything that has gone on for the last 8 months. Which uncle is it? I hope that everything will be okay and I hope you can enjoy your time with your family. I miss you bunches and wish so much that I could see you. I will try to give you a call tomorrow. Lots of love and hugs are being sent your way!!!
Christmas time is here! I love it! What I don't love is how selfish this country has become with this holiday. I pray that I can pass on the love of family time and not the love of gifts to Caitlyn and Tyson. This holiday makes me excited because we get to gather with family and we show each other we appreciate them and give them a gift to enjoy. I try to buy gifts they the person will like and really enjoy. I love the festivities. I love the hot chocolate. (: I love my kids' enthusiasm of decorating and seeing presents under the tree. Or in our case, all piled to one side so the dogs don't have a lot to target to mark. That's annoying! (: I love seeing familiar food that I've grown up with knowing and loving. This year I'm going to try to be better at making some of the food I remember eating as a kid and making it with the kids and passing them out to friends as gifts. I can't wait to make fudge. I'm going to try to do other goodies like that too! Tell me what is your favorite thing or things about this time of year. Enjoy!
my aunts used to make popcorn balls... yummy... and I love homeade fudge. That's funny about your dogs... that's why we don't have one. Our cat is an outdoor cat this year, which means I don't have to lock her up like I used to in order to stop her climbing the tree in the middle of the night and tipping it over!!!
Yay for your ticker! =) I like the piggies and so will Faith. I enjoy spending time with friends and family- watching christmas movies, playing games, eating yummy food, and enjoying all being home together. I also enjoy seeing my kiddos faces light up when they see all the decorations when we first put them up and how they enjoy their "countdown to Christmas" calendars. I was able to score a Dorothy barbie doll off of ebay for $12 ($18 including shipping) and the shoes light up and she says a couple of phrases. I think Faith is really going to love it. Josh has gotten Ethan some Star Wars stuff, and we got Thomas a shopping cart to push around the house and a dog that he can pull around that barks.
Sorry I couldn't talk longer yesterday. By the time we got to the park the temperature had started to drop and we only stayed 15 minutes because we were all freezing in our short sleeves! Then at 3 am Faith woke me up saying she had thrown up. When I went to clean it up I saw that she had grabbed the towel from the bathroom and had tried to clean it up herself. Poor sweetie. Sigh.. Thomas had it Sunday... I hope the rest of us can avoid it. I have been lysoling like crazy today.
Ethan got it last night before services so he didn't get to go with me. Then Josh got it at midnight last night. So I got to be an English professor for 2 whole hours today and go proctor his last final exam from 7:30-9:30 this morning. I am still doing okay. I have a few symptoms, but I am hoping that will all the vitamins and good food that I eat that I will avoid the worst of it.
