Another Year Coming to a Close 12-04-08 04:28pm EST
So it's December. Which as you all should know is the twelfth and final month of the calendar year. So here is a look back at some stuff that I remember from this year...

1) Made a new year's resolution to drop 75 pounds, lost 45 pounds, not bad. (I was shooting for the stars and if I missed at least I would still have lost some weight, I think I'll get back to doing that again.)

2) Camping trip number 1 at camp Tonkawa was a blast

3) Camping trip number 2 at camp Tonkawa was, in my opinion, better.

4) Summer was kind of dull, Ryan Renz came and lived with me for a few weeks, and then moved to Jon Ritter's because they worked at the same place.

5) I moved into the house from the apartment. Both good and not so good things came of that. Central heating is amazing! 46" flat screens are awesome! Xbox Live is addicting! Not so much personal space is annoying!

6) Flew to Georgia over the summer to visit Brandon, Leah and the girls! We had a great time.

7) Played in the FC Softball Tournament and helped our team become the the '08 Champions!

8) Made new friends during the Fall semester, you guys are awesome!

9) Jay and Emily got married...and Whitney and Adam are getting married in a few weeks!

10) I went to most of the home football games...at least we won a few games this year.

11) Katelyn Alyse Sparks was born!!! (Sorry if I misspelled that Lara)

12) Read that book Twilight that everyone was going crazy about...It was pretty corny, but I will admit that it was a good book.

13) Awesome Halloween party at my house! Everyone was there, I hope we can do it again next year.

14) I turned 20...no longer a teenager, how sad! No more excuses for immature behavior.

2008 was kind of busy, and 2009 promises to be even more chaotic so I will now say goodbye but not before telling people to have a good rest of the year, and an even better 2009!!! Goodbye!
kristasfa1. I would like to lose 75 lbs... even 45 would do! Congrats to you!
2. Twilight isn't corny!!!
3. :-)
larie1. I would like to lose 45 lbs!! Way to go!
larie2. Read the other books in the Twilight series before you judge it. They're not as lovey-dovey.

I just thought I would brag a little about last weeks craziness! So if you read the last post you know how crazy last week was. Well as it turns out, I got a 104 on my accounting test, a 100 on my economics test and a 97 on my statistics test. YAY. Unfortunately this week is homecoming week and so I'm not very motivated to do work, but I have a research project due on Tuesday...yuck.

Busy Week 10-16-08 03:48pm EST
So I started this week with a mid-term on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (statistics, economics, and accounting respectively). Then my stat test got moved to Thursday, which was good because it gave me more time to study. Monday night I was doing some homework for my Business Communications class and found out that I had a test on Tuesday for that class as well. Well I didn't do so hot on that test because I didn't know what it was over and so I kinda just went in there and winged it. I did ok, it just wasn't great. Then Wednesday rolled around, I studied pretty well for my economics test and I think I did pretty well, it wasn't that hard. But Wednesday was quite eventful. I got out of class at 11:30 because of my test in Economics. Then I went to get lunch at the University Center. I went to the Library at 12 to study for my stat test because that's when the Walk-In table opens for math tutoring. I was there until 5:20, I know because I had to sign myself out. Then church, then back to studying. I studied until about 12:30 and got up this morning and studied some more. Well I worked through my test, and thought I did pretty well, then I realized that the last page of the test had the list of formulas!!! So that kind of made me mad, stressing about this test and then having the answers pretty much given to you. But I used the formulas to check my answers and I think I did very well. Now I'm about to go to SI to study for my accounting test tomorrow. Oh yeah, and we've been having the lecture series with Ferrell Jenkins this entire week. (Haven't missed one) Wish me Luck!!!
kristasfathat sounds like something I would have done! Formula sheet right there!!!
leahsparkslol - maybe you should take your oldest brother's approach? seems to have worked out well for him!!! ;)

Food For Thought... 10-06-08 03:47pm EST
I don't really have anything much to talk about, but I thought I would get in the habit of getting on here every once in a while to actually make a post. I mean what's the point in having something if you don't use it?

Which brings me to my next point. I fear that a lot of people have things they don't use. There are a lot of people that keep things just to keep them, and never use them. We usually call these people pack rats. But that's not exactly what I'm talking about. Why is it that people have such great abilities in life and refuse to use them? Some people can sing really well, and yet they never want to grace a group with a few bars. Some people are really good at math, and yet they never like to help those who have trouble in math. So really all I want to say about that is, use the abilities that God gave you, and use those abilities in the right way for the right reasons.
leahsparksI was wondering where you were going with the packrat thing.... you being a Sparks & all... ;) Good thoughts though!

New To Pleonast and my 20th Birthday 10-03-08 11:34pm EST
So Leah has a pleonast, Lara has a pleonast, and since I always like to be in touch with both of these lovely people, I now have a pleonast. There have been a lot of people asking me lately if I have a pleonast so yes, I do now.

October 3,1988 one of the greatest people to ever walk the earth came into the world. Yes, you guessed it. It was me. Eric Kyle Sparks, weighing in at a whopping 10 lbs 9 oz. That was 20 years ago today. And thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday today.
kristasfahappy birthday Eric!!!
leahsparksWell look who decided to get sucked into the world of pleo! Happy Birthday! We love you very much & we sure do miss you!!!
larieHappy Birthday again! Hope you have a fun weekend in Houston. :)
