This past Sunday was Blake's 4th annual NICU reunion. These doctors & nurses go above and beyond! Every year they put on a reunion for all babies who were in the NICU. We always come away feeling so blessed. Sadly, many children who attend are not as fortunate as our Blake.
This year the theme was Ratatouille!
Blake's nurse, Sharon, who has become a very dear friend to us
The doctor & nurses that kept our sweet baby alive (big brother posing!)
The magician brought his doves and Blake was fascinated!
After the reunion, we went across the street to feed the ducks!
It was a beautiful day!

A few weeks ago I got an email from a friend about a blog that she had read. I decided to go to it and check it out. I want to share this with all of you because I am so thankful it was shared with me. It is, by far, the most difficult thing I have ever read (get your tissues ready!), but it is so beautiful at the same time! I am totally hooked and can't stop reading!!
Witness the unshakable faith of this family in their darkest hour.
For those of you who are new to reading blogs (including myself!) make sure you start at the beginning of the story. On the left hand side you will see different links - go to "the beginning of the story" and SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BOTTOM and work your way up to the top (you will notice the dates). The music is beautiful, as well. The blog is over several months so it will take some time to read - I just read a little a day! I would LOVE to hear your feedback!! It will change you.
Please listen to this amazing woman's story!

Chloe's 1st birthday was on Saturday, Sept. 6th!
We had a small party and the theme was "Hugs & Stitches"
(butterflies & flowers). It was a BLAST!
How did we go from this . . .
to this in 12 short months?!!
At the VERY last minute I decided to throw together a collage
of her 1st year
Chloe's SMASH cake!
First taste of ice cream
