When you think about Thanksgiving what comes to mind??? Is it the good food , football games , or time spent with Family? On Thanksgiving we should be thankful for all of those things, but moreso our blessings as Christians. We need to be thankful for the gift of Salvation that God gives us, and his Mercy that made that possible. We should thank him every day for these blessings.
Every Lord's day we come together we also thank him for something much more important and that is The death of Christ. God gave his only son , so that we can once more have the chance of having that relationship with God that was once cut off. I encourage you as you go about your day not to forget about these things and Remember the Blessings you have been blassed with . Have a Happy thanksgiving all and "Remember every good and perfect gift comes from above". :)
Thanks for the very good thoughts. Sometimes we get so caught up in being with our loved ones that we don't thank Him for what is most important. It was good to see you and Micah. Hope you had a good weekend.
My mom is once again hacking my blog to add a new entry. By the time I find out she has done this, hopefully you will have all seen the embarrassing pictures on her blog.
Happy Birthday Sam, you and Dathan sure had some good times growing up, it's hard to believe that you are both now Grown Up! That makes me and Dana old (sorry Dana:{)
A different area preacher each night; I can't even remember them all: Jim Walsh, Chris Bates, Joel Plunkett. I'm kind of surprised it's not up on our webpage. Hope you had a great day yesterday.
That's what I meant; where he is now. Cool, thanks! We are doing a different section of Acts each night in our VBS. He's up tomorrow night. I guess he gets chapters 6-10.
don't worry. contrary to popular belief before GCO, someone will pick GCO back up, considering they have a two-year contract with Guntersville Park that they have to honor.
Well, as of late ive been staying busy with tech school, church responsibilities and hanging out with the young folks a little more. Im satisfied with what curves life is throwing at me right now. Im really looking forward to Spring break, I need a break quite honestly. College Class at Brinkley road is going well,it would help if we had just even 2 or 3 more people to keep discussion going, but for now it will just have to do :). Im looking forward to Spring being here , im so tired of this weather pattern change we've had lately, warm one day and freezing cold another , its no wonder everyone can't get over their sickness. As you can tell by my typing , im just mentally drained So.... im gonna get off here and relax till bedtime :P
Take Care all :)
yeh,I'm tired of this weather too!Not really looking forward to summer in Texas, though!:( could be worse though! At least I don't live in south Texas!!whewy!I'm glad to hear that things seem to be going well for you bro!:)
Nothing has changed, I still don't want to drive that far in the dark... it not that I dont want to go to bible studies, it's just there are very few within 30 minutes of here.
Its hard to believe its already 2008! It seems the days just fly now. I go back to tech school tomorrow blah.... I could use a week more but oh well;). Im getting a job this month along with going to school and various other things I do on a normal basis.Christmas was spent with Daniels Fiance and my grandparents at our house , to say the least it was enjoyable.
New years we went to some friends house from our church, ate alot of good food and enjoyed the fellowship of Christian brothers and sisters, and then after a little while we sat down together and sang praises to God our maker. I don't think you could ask for a better break than that! So Goodbye 2007 and Hello 2008.
Well I got to go get ready for church now...take care and I wish you all a very good 08.
yeh, thanks!I'm looking forward to this phase in my life, learning new things, growing with daniel.:)New changes are always good for you.take care, brother!
Well about that time again, things are busy as usual and keep on getting busier. This week we attended the Gospel meeting in Manchester Tn, where Terrel Bunting preaches. They just got a new building a few weeks ago. The speaker this week was Harold Comar, who is no stranger to this area;). He taught a series of lessons on Evangelism, and they were very good! Other things that have happened : My great-grandfather passed away last week and his funeral was this week> He will be missed by all who knew him:(. Ok thats the bad news, now for the good. Many of you may know I was looking into going to a tech school in Shelbyville in the fall, well luckly it came through:) . If everything goes as planned I'll start September 5th in Auto body repair. Orientation was on Friday morning , I got to meet one or 2 of the teachers, they seem exceptionally nice;). Last but not least, I will preaching at Brinkley road tomorrow night, also happens to be a 4th Sunday singing. I'd love to see anyone who can possibly make it. Thats all for now:) Have a good Worship period and may God bless you all:)
