kaegan must think a lot will happen when she is 4. she is very excited to turn 4. yesterday she asked me if she was 4 yet. i told her " you won't be 4 until march 24" she said "oh, look mom i march now i'm 4" she was marching back and forth in the room. i guess we will have to pull the calender down and show her the month of march.
4 has been really important to Kalee too!! I think it's b/c she gets to go to school when she's 4. She'll be 4 on April 2. I didn't realize they were so close in age!! Wish they were closer in living area! ;-0

yesterday when the girls and i layed down for a nap i looked at kaegan and could tell her little mind was thinking. she asked me "momma when i turn 4 can i have the crackers and juice?" i told her that when she was older and understood that she needed to be baptized like carter( a young man at church that she prays for often b/c he got baptized) she could be baptized and then she would be able to drink the grape juice and eat the cracker. then she asked "why grape juice?" i went on to explain in the bible Jesus tells us we need to drink the fruit of the vine and that grapes grown on a vine. then she asked "what is a grape?" i told her it was a round purple fruit that she eats sometime. she said "oh!" i love seeing her being interested in the things that are most important in this life. i also enjoy the gratification of teaching and seeing its fruits. it sure is wonderful to be a mom!
We tell our girls when they ask that Mommy and Daddy have to take the Lord's Supper to help us remember Jesus, but that they don't have to take it yet because they never forgot Him.
the other day we went to lubbock and saw santa. the girls had their picture taken with him. avery was scared of him and kaegan loved him. kaegan was stroking his beard and telling him over and over again that she wanted lip gloss. avery didn't want to have anything to do with him. it was a funny experience. i will let you see for yourself.
kaegan has adopted a lady at church as her grandma. she wants to sit with her all the time. last night she brought her a baby, a plastic purse, and some other little things she had. well while the girls were eating their snack they had the funniest conversation. kaegan had her baby by her and told avery "her name is naomi" (can you tell what we have been talking about at home) and avery said something sassy back, not exactly sure what, and then lance and i hear kaegan say " no avery, her name isn't song of solomon!" we laughed so hard. most likely avery didn't say that but who knows. sometimes kaegan can understand avery when i can't. i hope everyone is having good holidays.
That picture is priceless!! None of my kids will get close to Santa. And are you sure Kaegan didn't tell him HE needed lip gloss?!! It does get awfully cold up there. I'm sure his lips were cracked!! Ha,ha!
Cute picture! I hope y'all are doing well and will enjoy your holidays! I'm planning on coming to there with Missy and all our kids in early February....maybe we'll get to see you then!
thank ya'll for all the birthday wishes! i had a nice birthday. lance and i went on a date and he had the next day off. my mom kept the girls so we got to sleep in and be lazy on his day off. it was very nice. i think one lazy day is enough for me. lately we have been busy with company and getting ready for thanksgiving. we are going to lances parents for thanksgiving and we are looking forward to that. where are ya'll going?
That sounds like a great bday!! Oh, to be able to sleep in!! I've been blessed with two boys who are up at the crack of dawn every day. No matter what! ;-0 Kalee would sleep in every day if she could. We're going to my mom's to be with my family.
Rosenberg and Alvin, to see his Mother and my parents, his sister and mine and my brother. And all the grandkids and great-grandkids who can make it. We'll miss you!
You are so right. Lazy is good but indeed needs a limit or I begin to get cranky! Have a great family gathering filled with thanksgiving. I'm going to do the same, yes!
