Woke up at 7:00, left at 8:45 for the church building. Six people showed up for the canoeing thing by 9:30, so we took off.
I think we actually launched at about 10:30 or 10:45, and we were all in kayaks except for two people because there was some race going on and they took all the canoes.
I was the first to launch by a good twenty seconds, and the first to finish. Bwahahaha, but I don't know how I'm going to survive tomorrow. I'm soooo sore.
I watched it just now on comedy central and there was about thirteen combined minutes in the whole hour of the program when I wasn't laughing, and that was in the commercial.
Brian Regan is really talented because he can be funny without being dirty. I mean, I think he cussed four times in the whole stand-up, which is about five times better than anyone else can say.
He's really creative, and he's a mix of pure clever comedy and slapstick.
You gots to watch him. Buy his CD or DVD or somethin.
Ooooooh...lol. sry, kimberly and i thought you were talking about something else. i had asked you a question that kimberly had wanted me to ask you. then she said nvm and told me to delete it. i did and we thought that you had some how seen it and were saying "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" phew! there ya go
Hi this is Cassie's friend from school. If it's alright i'm going to add you as my friend. For real this is Cassie but i'm just typing doin stuff for Darian. She's asittin right next 2 me.
So, the first full day of school was on Monday. I saw a lot of old faces and it was pretty fun. Anyway, my classes for this quarter:
Period 1 - Biology 1A
A little guy named Coach White teaches this class. He's a pretty calm guy, and all us sophomores are polite enough not to mess with him. Plus he lets us listen to Bon Jovi while we read or take notes. I think it's more for his benefit than for ours though, 'cause he's a huge Bon Jovi fan. I don't think this class will be too strenuous, although it's giving me more homework than any other class. The material is simple, I just gots to learn it and remember it. That's where everything crashes and burns for me. Remembering. My awesome friend Will is in this class, so there's another good thing.
Period 2 - Algebra 1C
I regret being a whole semester behind in math, which leads me to regretting ever being in homeschool, because I cannot learn anything in homeschool. Of course, it wasn't my choice, but oh well. I suck the concepts up pretty well, and for the most part I remember it all, it's just distinguishing between what method you have to use to solve the problem. That's why I like math more than, say, Biology. You aren't memorizing a huge list of vocabulary words and details. You're memorizing a few formulas that will help you get the job done, whatever that job is. This class is actually incredibly boring, though. I've liked my last two math teachers/classes, because the atmosphere was exciting and there were a lot of funny people in there to keep people entertained without actually messing with their ability to learn. Mrs. McCluggage doesn't have that goin' on, though. It's like being in a class full of sleeping people (actually, there's one failed freshman in there who does nothing but sleep, so it's easy to get that impression). I know a few people in there, but it's hard to talk in there.
Period 3 - World History
Oooh, yeah. This is my class, right here. The teacher is funny and laid back, but he doesn't let people do whatever they want. Plus I like the subject to begin with.
Period 4 - Art 2
OK! I'm not supposed to have this class. My guidance counselor gave it to me because I only chose 3 out of 4 electives. Actually, I chose 4 I think but they wouldn't let me have Career Management Success. So, I filed a class change request and they are SUPPPOSED to get back to me. I hope they hurry up because I STINK at art, and there's no way I can pass this advanced class. Plus, there's a $20 fee and I really don't want to pay that if I'm leaving, but I'm not sure I'm leaving, so time is gonna be tight. I'm hoping they get back to me tomorrow so we can discuss it. If not, I'll probably cry. I want a 4.0 GPA this year, next year, and my last year, and if I fail this class, that's ruined.
So that's my school schedule.
WOW! I'm really tired. It's 10:42, I've had such a busy day, and I'm gonna go to bed the second I finish this up. Alright, some more information about mah life:
I'm addicted to Life Savers Wintergreen Mints. They are... tasty. Yeah. Ummm... let's see, what else.
Oh, I want to learn two instruments: piano and drums. I hijacked my sister's keyboard, so I have a way to practice the piano, but I have no drums. Why do I want to learn the drums? 1. They're cool. 2. Some of my friends are starting a band and they want me to taketh up the role of drummer, go forth and play. Or something like that. I'm a little rusty on my olde english.
Anyway, here's some good songs.
I Know - Drake Bell
Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
This Is How A Heart Breaks - Rob Thomas
Unwell - Matchbox 20
Brick - Ben Folds Five
Boston - Augustana
Viva La Vida - Coldplay
Lost - Coldplay
Free Falling - Tom Petty
It Ends Tonight - All-American Rejects
100 Years - Five For Fighting
I Don't Wanna Be - Gavin Degraw
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day
Whatever It Takes - Lighthouse
Surely, you can understand why I occasionally fell asleep in math. The atmosphere was quiet and it was 1st Block! Plus, it was way too easy since I'm a math person and they never gave me advanced.
Lebanese food is Mediterranean, obviously. The meat and whatever else come in small protions, but the baskets of bread were numerous. I didn't care for it enough to eat it a lot, but it was neat to try.
i wasn't ashamed!! it's just because we were goin to class and i didn't wanna be loud. also i just thought to say it last-minute. i was like__hey! i should say hi!__i'm not ashamed, why would i be? it's not like you're a bad person or anything. and YOU don't talk to me. not-i don't talk to you.
you're probably ashamed to talk to me. cuz the boyz are around and U think that THEY'll think, that you're flirting with me or that you like me. when we're JUST friends.
Hi, Stefan! I'm Cassie & Zak's older sister, Jessica. :) Just wanted to say hello! I'm jealous you get to see my family all the time! ;) I miss them! Looks like a good school schedule! Enjoy your year! :)
k ya so i was at my sis' blog thing and i saw what you wrote. you didn't say anything about ME being one of your friends.hmph! so ya, like you don't tell her about how you talk to me too! hmph! we are SO not friends anymore! ='(
ya, like we should try to get everyone talking together. sometimes i like want to talk w/ the guys and like say somethin.lol. ya, like Corey will talk to me sometimes. but i think it's mainly zak. that's my opinion but i think it's true. like if he's not there then like we'll kinda talk. but if he isn't we wont really. i don't talk to you that much wen he's around cuz he like glares at me the whole time. and he doesn't like it.lol. but lately i've just kinda been ignoring him about that kinda stuff. cuz i have a right to be friends with you guys too! oh and thank you, you're my friend too. :)
Oh, and in reference to your convo with Cassie...I think the age you all are at is hard when you're trying to be friends with the opposite gender. You're afraid someone might misinterpret your friendship as something "more". But, I say..who cares! Talk to and be friends with who you want. You can learn a lot from being friends with each other. It might help "break the ice" between the guys and the gals to have a group outing...go bowling or something. But, sure to blend together...put half the guys and half the girls on each team (rather than guys vs. gals). Give it some time, spend time together, and before you know it there won't be that "invisible barrier" anymore. :)
