“My feelings for you shame me into silence. The truth of this and your name will never be revealed. It is you who has made me realize the failure of my life. The thought of you fills me with longing and at the same time, a burning humiliation that produces scar tissue and dead brain cells. Your existence mocks me and I am unable to confront this. You have no idea of any of this. None of this is your fault. It is completely with me. It is you who makes me see what I really am. I am weak and out of touch with myself.”
OK, people. I know I've told several of you this, but I'm still excited.
The Swan Princess was one of my FAVORITE movies! I was in love with Prince Derek. Seriously. So, obviously, when I found out that none other than the singing voice of PRINCE DEREK HIMSELF, Howard McGillin, was the Phantom in NYC when we went to see it....I sort of freaked out in little girl-ish glee.
So, in honor of the fabulously AWESOME movie and my wonderful Prince Derek/Phantom (HA), here's the song "Far Longer than Forever" from The Swan Princess. LISTEN. It's like two minutes long. You can do it. :)
Becky was so excited about the party they had today, she was telling me about it. (She is my favorite little kid in that class - she just reminds me so much of Holly at that age, too.) And, were you in the Christmas parade (in the truck with the Footlighters group)?
Figured there'd be a little more of a response to that bit of news.
Ah, well. It (was) Thanksgiving Break. I'll cut you guys a little slack. ;)
So, I'm kinda-sorta...ok, very much dreading school tomorrow.
I don't like ABS. I don't like Athens. I'm ready to move on.
Yes, I appreciate it. I just don't like it.
There's a difference. Really.
On December 13th my family's going somewhere and spending the night, but I won't be able to go because of the musical. So, I figured, y'know, seventeen...senior...six months away from independence...one night alone wouldn't be such a big deal. Yeah. They're sending Emily over to stay with me. Like I'm a baby. Don't ya just love parents? Sheesh. Yeah, yeah, I know they love me and want to protect me from the dangerous predators right outside of Athens (...), but still. It irks me.
In the music department, I'm really liking Kanye West's new style. And Lady GaGa. Ah, music. 'Tis wonderful. (:
So..is it Christmas break yet?
Six months. Six months left of high school. Ever.
Sorry, how did I miss that? Wow, Steph, you got your acceptance letter! That's fantastic! I hope it's everything you could possibly want in a college! Better?
I've now been officially accepted into the University of Montevallo.
:)
Also, Australia is an amazing movie.
Hugh Jackman is incredibly se...fun to look at.
And it's just...oh, it's so good. Lengthy (almost 3 hours), but so worth it.
