My dear cousin's wife Tabitha is here at our apartment with her delightful daughter Layla. Today we are going to the Shedd Aquarium and then to IKEA! We are so excited about our adventures into the snowy world that Chicago has become.

Happy Turkey Day, all!
Joe and I are off to celebrate in St Louis.
Tabitha and I are cooking our first without-the-mothers thanksgiving day feast. We hope we don't have to bury anything that is baked far too long, ahem.
Ah, 5 whole days of food, family, and fun.

loislane	Too bad they didn't mark said burial site...give a kiss to my sweet layla and a hug for my sis and bro too. love you!
melissakae	Yup!!!! We go camping every year in Cleveland, TX with a HUGE group of Christians. :-)
kitkat	Just that we eat really un-traditional "white sauce" on our turkey. It's made with Mayo, lemon juice, sugar, vinegar, and pepper, and it's AMAZING. Even though it sounds kind of gross....
rosemary	we used too...this year we'll be startin new ones!
kalona	we eat and then spend the weekend trying to hurt ourselves out at the desert =) i LOVE you.
motherofall	Happy Thanksgiving, Dear One. We'll miss you.
motherofall	Your wonderful mother called me today and made my day. :)
tucksmom	We had all 3 children together again! Yay!

Our big city apartment!

desi	I love your decorations :) Such a nice apartment!
snoopy	ooo! Gas stoves are also good for roasting marshmallows, and radiators for warming bath towels :) Lauren, I think when I get an appartment some day, I'm hiring you to decorate it -- it looks wonderful and cozy!
emmylou	ahhhh! I love the twiggy leaf! And the painting! And the pictures around your window! AND THE EARRINGS HANGING ON THE BIG METAL LEAF! That is such a good idea! What can I say...You're a genius. I can't wait to come see it for reals! It looks so adorable! I love the yellow and black n white kitchen, even if it's teensy!

video_nana	Cherish your time even in a "teeny" apartment. When my DH and I were first married, we lived in a very, very tiny one-car garage that had been converted into an apartment. We shared the bathroom with a man who lived in the basement apartment! Now our walk-in closet and bathroom are larger than that apartment, but even after 47 1/2 years of marriage, we still fondly remember our time in that apartment.
mandymara	Lauren - you might have already been asked this, but where did you get those stinking CUTE letters on your wall?! I just saw one of those the other day at a friend's house and she got hers as a gift so she couldn't tell me where to buy my own. :( Also - the earring leaf is a great idea! Where did you find that thing?!
